Prince of Persia film to be "like 'Pirates'"?

Apparently, the scope and tone of Pirates is going to be a basis for the film.

Does the Sands of Time trilogy honestly deserve to be lowered to nothing more than a summer blockbuster with shallow characters? Granted, I am a hater of the Pirates franchise, as I am also a Johnny Depp hater too. Nonetheless, when I played the trilogy...I don't know...maybe the second game would fit the big Hollywood atmosphere of a flick, but not Sands of Time or about half of Two Thrones.

I disliked the Pirates Trilogy alot, so if this appears to be the same following, I might not even check this movie out.

Yeah, I thought that all three Pirates movies were great, so I can't complain if that's the direction they're taking it in.

Well now I totally do not care anymore. Pirates of the Caribbean is probably the worst franchise ever so anything that tries to be similar will no doubt be equally as bad. That being said, this won't have Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightly or Johnny 'I'll do whatever I want because i'm the star of the show' Depp in it, so it could be at least passable.

...but it has Jake Gyllenhaal as the Prince...and they defaulted for the old dood by putting Ben Kingsley in it.

Remember the last video game-based movie Ben Kingsley did?

And yes...Pirates is a porno. It happens to be an Award-winning porno.

Yes, the most expensive porno ever made with a budget exceeding $1 Million. Had terrible CG skeletons and an epic ship-shop combat scene amongst the tits, anal and cumshots. The sequel just came out last week. This was the first porno I fell asleep watching
