"PS Vita" vs "WiiU"

Which name is worse?

Playstation.  It still sounds like a toy you would buy for a 2 year old to me. 

I don't like either of them. But all I can think of when I hear Vita is hot, melted processed cheese.

Both. "Vita" makes me thing of pills I eat for stomach illnesses, "Wii U" is just... Ugh.

I can just say "PSV" in a pinch. There's no real way around WiiU. 

Vita at least rolls off the tongue better. Wii U sounds like a school. Either way they will sell assloads so who cares. I'm interested in both, which is surprising because I haven't cared for a Playstation product in quite some time.

Though I suppose PSV sounds alright. Nothing can be said for Wii U.

Wii U is really the worst name for anything I've ever heard ever.

Vita is fine, and PSV is no different than PSP or PS3.

I just can't stop thinking of Kung Pow Enter the Fist when I see WiiU:

Going with Wii U, makes me think of The Dover Boys of Pimento University.

Also, PSV would be even worse than the PSVita, as it still sounds like a sexually transmitted disease or European super-minivan.

Going to refer to them in speech as the NGP and the Wii U, because I can't come up with anything that would correctly identify the Wii U and because nobody who will know what a PSVita is won't know what an NGP is.

Nintendo, pretty much for not dropping the Wii name and then adding that awful "You can totally also be spelled as U" thing.
As for the PSV, Vita is Italian for 'life', really not that bad in my opinion.

WiiU. At least with Vita I can shorten it to PSV and pretend that's just the name. Can't do that with the WiiU.

Vita makes me think of a fruit smoothie. Wii U is just, I don't even know.

WiiU is a terrible name.

How can you not say WiiU?  That's the dumbest shit ever.  At least Vita is kind of like a cell phone name.

Wii U wins outs just ever so slightly, because in addition to being dumb, it's lazy AND confusing. Vita is just dumb; at least it sounds like they put some thought in to it.

Imagine if they had instead called it the "Wii G". Then it could have 3G capability. = )

I clicked on Danny Davita, but come on Wii U.

Playstation Vita is a horrible name. Like, really, really horrible. It sounds like a skin lotion for 35+ women, or a brand of sparkling water. 

But Wii U. Wii fucking U. Jesus Christ.

vita isn't that good, but as soon as everyone accepts that PSV is going to be the acronym, then it's not so bad.

Vita is a pretty alright name; the Wii U is a pretty shitty name.

They're both kind of incidental to the product and don't mean ANYTHING. But at least Vita follows a familiar Sony naming-scheme of "slick" sounding words that don't really mean anything, but aren't at the same time absolutely insane. The Wii U is insane.

Vita is growing on me, I don't think I'll ever get used to Wii U. Instead I propose we call the Woo. Easier to say and and doesn't sound as ridiculous. 

Shit I picked Vita without reading. Vita sounded bad at first  but after hearing WiiU, Vita sounds great.

Sony didn't deliver with their last portable, and Nintendo with their last console. Both have something to prove to me before I decide anything about either. 

As much as PS Vita sounds like some sort of yoga class or healthy milk product, Wii U is simply fucking horrible. It just seems like there is no way to pronouce it properly. With the other, you can atleast say PSV or something.

I think the WiiU is a much worse name for a couple of reasons.  For one, the name "Wii" at least had some kind of connotation with what the system was; an all-inclusive experience that "WE" could enjoy.  But what the fuck is WiiU supposed to mean?  Secondly... it sounds like you're attempting to make siren noises every time you say it. 
 
The Vita isn't that bad.  It is a very feminine sounding name, which I feel is weird, but what-evs.  Not to mention, I refuse to stop calling it the "VITE-UH", as in Vitamins... because that's what I'd been calling it since the name first appeared.  I still insist I'm right!  >_>
