Sean Coonce was in an episode of Button Mashing!

If you guys don't know, Button Mashing used to a video game game show that was on Gamespot way back when. I was watching old episodes when I stumbled upon Sean Coonce, and promptly started to wildly gesticulate my arms in the air. Pretty funny episode and I suggest you guys all watch it!

I'm sure @coonce will be delighted to know that we have found this.

The intro to Button Mashing is always enjoyable. Pimp Rich Gallup needs to be in more things!

They need a giant bomb version of the button mashing intro, they don't need to make it a regular feature, they just need that song and some updated video to go with it.

I had no idea Sean worked at gamespot. Did he leave with everyone else?

Having never seen an episode of Button Mashing before, this was a delight. 
 
I kind of agree that some magic element that his readily apparent in these videos and older GB stuff (mostly before they moved) that seems to be missing from most GB video content lately. 

If Whiskey Media did this then the first round should be a race to find the answer to a trivia question USING the Giantbomb, Comicvine, Screened or Animevice database.

Oh shit, I totally saw that episode! No wonder Coonce looked familiar. I agree, the recent features haven't had that same kind of zaniness that these guys were known for. But you gotta remember that they straight up don't have the manpower that they used to. All the time and resources something like this requires would take away from actual video game coverage and I reckon that's a compromise the GB crew isn't willing to take.

Giant Bomb just played Brute Force on an episode of Load Your Last Save. Brute Force was the game that Coonce didn't know. This is like 2 universes crashing into each other causing an implosion that will kill us all. I'm scared.

Wow. That's kind of surreal. But really, any old Gamespot video prominently featuring Whiskey Media employees is going to be nuts. Does anyone remember the "Rorie Roundup" when Gamespot was trying to do a slate of features every week?

In any case, favorite Button Mashing episode is the one with 3 girls. I think it's called "Crying Princess". It's... amazing.

I found the last episode, nr. 22, that was linked earlier in this thread, to be even more interesting in a meta way. All contestants and the host later become GiantBomb staff (I've counted Alex as well since he contributes to the site), and the final game they chose to end the show with is Kane and Lynch, the very game rumored to have set in motion the events which ended the GameSpot era of greatness and led to the creation of Giant Bomb. Meta!

I was so pumped when I got brute force right on the coonce episode lol. Thanks load our last save! Also, we need more Gallup
