Try this.

1. Reconnect all the cables.
2. Take the HD out
3. Turn it on.

I followed their instructions, it was the console with the problem. Not any of the accssories, to which I was told "We can't help you then..." This had me slightly confused.

Also, this is a launch model core system. So if they were to repair it. The costs'll be big, right?

I got the same error a while back. It sucks. I ended up just buying a new Xbox after I took it to a repair place and they said it couldn't be fixed and MS wanted £100 to fix it.

I also have a PS3, but to be honest would rather my DeadBox 360 then have to play on it. The ONLY reason I got one, was for MGS4. Also, thanks for the great contribution."
