That would be having a link in every screened review and movie page to netflix. If Giantbomb had this for Gamefly and Amazon that would be awesome. Anyone agree?
Something Screened does that would make Giantbomb better...

I thought GameFly did not ship outside of the US?
Anyways Netflix provides a digital alternative to receiving an actual disc and, from what I've heard, seems to be something of the defacto standard when it comes to streaming movies online. There is no such parallel for video games.

Screened.com movie pages have links to imdb and Rotten tomatoes which is pretty cool, but we all know how indifferent GB is towards something like Metacritic or gamerankings.
imdb has so much information about a film though, metacritic is just a mash up of review scores isn't it?
It would be kinda lame if they made this website too American. Bombcast I can accept it, I don't expect American duders to speak like they aren't american, but the website is a website. It doesn't need a nationality. In fact, I prefer it that way.
I guess I wouldn't mind a links to said game on a variety of popular online shopping sites but I could just as easily find the item on the website on my own so it would seem a little pointless.

I have filled up my netflix que because of that little feature on screened, and could do the same with gamefly/amazon.

I'd be interested to know how the GB crew would feel about such a feature.
I get the feeling Jeff at the very least would be against it. Even though I don't at all question their integrity etc, "here is my review of this game, click here to buy it!" could look a little dodgy. I suppose it wouldn't if there were links for every game that can be got digitally/through gamefly, but finding something on Steam is easy enough, I think they would feel they don't really need to be that halfway step. Adding something to a netflix queue is a bit different, and a movie is less of a time investment.
Plus Ryan has made clear his thoughts on Gamefly :P
I guess there is nothing wrong with the crew saying "X game is good and the company are worthy of your dollars" but having "So click here to do so!" seems a little sketchy, I dunno.
Plus, movies is movies. This would have to cover digital distribution through Steam, GFWL etc, stuff like amazon and game fly etc, then there's all the stuff like PSN, XBLM, WiiWare, DSiWare, so on. I think you cannnnnnn buy PSN stuff from a PC (although maybe that's just for PSP or maybe I'm just high) but it seems to much all over the place.
I've typed a fair bit here without really saying much, I'm impressed!
Since referral links would earn them money they It would be good to have a small, delicately placed, link but only if something on the backend could give you the correct link for your location. A link to Amazon.com isnt really going to get my to buy anything, id load up Amazon.co.uk and get it manually. If they could give me an Amazon.co.uk link, a US guy a .com link and filter out give everyone else a referal link to somewhere local to them then it would be useful. If its simply Gamefly and Amazon.com then it would be useful for only a select group of users and would slightly alienate non-us users.
I don't understand how this would clutter up the website. Screened web design is pretty f'ing clean and it has all of that shit.
