Sony's Metreon Store is Closing

Yup Sony has announced that they will not renew the lease to their only Playstation themed store. This is sad news for me becaue I visted the store whenever waiting for movies at the Metreon. I'm curious what will take ts place though, maybe a Radioshack or maybe the Microft retail store that was annouced earlier this week.

Yeah, I heard. That's pretty big news, I suppose? I've never actually been there myself.

Wasn't this announced a few months ago?  Or did they just try renting out space or something?

I mean after the PS2 lost its thunder to the 360 and Wii, they prolly were no longer able to throw money at that store which was probably always a sink, and now since the source(PS2) is gone...they just cannot keep it up.
