Haha I just noticed that too. At first I was like "Dawn of Discovery Gold Edtion $10 ZOMG" but then I was disappointed.

I guess it's a different price in your region.

Are all the games actually showing up as less than $10 for you?

Haha... It took me a second to get that.

Some of the Spring Sales are really good, but... I can't bring myself to buy it because it's not Steam.  D:

It's slightly less convenient, but I haven't really had any problems with D2D.

Yet another reason why Steam is better. (Edit: why D2D not offers the optimal buying experience. Cool?)

Math fail, but the Brothers in Arms bundle is still a good price - all three of those games are excellent.  For some reason the UK site doesn't have all three games in the bundle, and bizarrely it's the middle game missing.

I don't think Cities XL even has the """MMO""" servers up anymore, so that's not much of a deal.

I long ago realized the futility of arguing with fanboys.  They will go out of their way to be "bothered" by the most inconsequential of things.

Steam is better, but that doesn't stop me from using D2D when there is a better price there on something I want.

Well, I'm not DYING to play any of those games, so I don't buy them. If they were on Steam, however, I'd probably buy some of them even if I weren't dying to play them. I just melt at the sight of Steam deals.

I have bought on D2D before and found it to be fine.

@TMThomsen: Social networking links make it a bad place to buy games? I fail to see your logic.

@nanikore:  I fail to see yours as well. I didn't say it was a bad place to buy games.

OP pointed out a flaw in D2D and I presented yet another one. And yes, oh god I hate those social networking links with their flash on-mouse-over pop-up with links to 12 different sites that refuses to go away.

@TMThomsen: Your reasoning was that Steam is better because it doesn't have social networking links. Those links are used as much needed advertisement for direct2drive.com, because Steam has the vast majority of the digital distribution market. It's not a flaw.

@nanikore: It is not a flaw in their marketing scheme, but it's a flaw in their user experience as far as I'm concerned.

I did not mean to imply that Steam was simply a superior platform because it don't include social networking links, but I do believe it offers a better user experience. Both because of the small typo OP presented and because of the absence of the links, but also due to the problems some of my friends have been having with the service.

I disagree with the reason you gave.   It was pretty silly and it has zero impact on how I use their service.  I say fanboy both because of that and because your mentality seems to be that only one DD service should be used to the exclusion of all others.

That is correct. I personally prefer to have all my games in one DD instead of having to load up 3 different platforms to search for a game I once purchased. I guess it depends on how often you buy games, but when you have over 80 games it's far more comfortable to have them all in one place.

Hm, well they seem to have changed the title now. It is no longer "10 Under $10", it's "Antihistamine For Your Gaming Fever"
