I feel like Jeff doesn't get enough credit for speaking the truth. So much of video game media is praising devs/ publishers for fear of getting on their bad side. But Jeff is a video game fan first. How he made his feelings known on the Bombcast about how the end of last year (broken games) was such a breath of fresh air for me. It made me feel great for going to Giant Bomb, because they won't bullshit me. People might just call him jaded and bitter, but I just call him a realist.

And all credit to Spencer for being blunt on Master Chief when he said "We needed to do a better job" rather than dodging or redirecting.
@getz: Agreed. I joked around that this is the Dan Hsu moment of 2015, but I have to admit that while the question clearly stunted him, he gave a surprisingly honest response. I generally feel like I should give more credit to Spencer after the past year or two.
I actually gained a lot of respect for Spencer from that interview. I think everyone talking about that one question based on the gif, that hasn't watched the full thing, really should. He makes a lot of great points. And hes not just saying us, Microsoft were #1 the whole time. Hes very honest and professional. He even says he plays games on his PS4. And that he doesn't think exclusivity should be at thing. That people should be able to play things however they want. And his response to that question was pretty great. He didn't try to PR bullshit around it. As someone who has never really been a huge MS or Xbox fan, I am now a fan of those two guys. Specifically Spencer. And I hope to see him/them back next year.
