Well, my most favorite game of all-time is Bubble Bobble, so I guess that's the best game I've ever played.
Worst is probably Fuzion Frenzy 2 for the 360. Go the game for free for the Old Spice gamerpoints challenge, and could not get a single ounce of enjoyment. I couldn't even say that the game was ok for being free. It wasn't. Total Recall for the NES was funner.
@Vexed: lol I try to avoid bad stuff but I think my exceptional hatred for Homefront is linked to the anticipation that I had towards it. But when I think about it, X-men 3 was particularly bad
I'm scared of dealing in absolutes, so I'll just say that one of the worst games I've ever played was Perfect Assassin on Playstation. Or Time Slip on the SNES. Or Ultraman on the SNES.
Best: Red Dead Redemption Worst: Superman 64 is too cliche'(but man, did it suck), so I'll go with Golden Axe Beast Rider, and Final Fight Streetwise. My expectations for the IPs I love from back in the day made the crushing blow of how horrible they were too much for me to handle.
worst would have to be godzilla for SNES. it was some godzilla game that i got it was just an animation of him walking and then a map of the world.
the best would have to goldeneye 64. i think it was my most played n64 game. i have great memories of that game. it was the first game that i found out that i got motion sickness from some games.
best: duke 3d replayed that game more times then i can count worst:: homefront it was pretty bad but the extra sting came from it looking really promising
Best: Probably Braid. Worst: I really can't be bothered thinking about it :( I've played a lot of crappy games. If we're going with crappy games that I've actually endured to the end, then possibly Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It served as a nice demonstration of every way to fuck up an adventure game.
Best-System Shock 2 on the very first playthrough. The worst, I'm trying so hard to remember it, it was a Cowboy- Western Science Fiction/Space FPS...GUN-something or other I think. The best part of the worst game I finished was a sexy and violent AI sentient computer that was the cheapest imitation of the SHODAN concept I ever have seen. But I mean these 2 games in earnest. Though there be other games that compete well for 'Best', 'Worst' games I do not play for very long. Cirtaintly not to finish usually. Chaser might get honorary mention as a worst game, but parts of that were not bad.
