3DS had an unsuccessful launch same as PS3 you poo-poo heads!

Your logic doesn't work because the 3DS is doing well, the Master System was better than the previous two, and the Saturn wasn't all that great either. Also Xbox wasn't stellar, Game & Watch didn't do shit, N64 was still pretty great, and PS3 has outsold the 360 worldwide.

N64 never really stumbled as far as I knew, it had Mario 64 on it and people lost their shit over that game. It took alot of people around my location almost a year just to find a store that had one in stock. Maybe that was because of Nintendo's horrible habit of never having enough stock for launch, but still...

Yeah but unsuccessful launches can always be "fixed", with good games shipping for it. The DS had what, a 9 year lifespan? And the 3DS is in it's second year now or something, and it's selling like hotcakes at the mo'.

Just looking at the global hardware totals (source: VGchartz.com, don't know if reliable) the 3DS is outselling the Vita almost 6-to-1 which is a big deal when you look at millions of consoles sold and it's also been the top selling platform every week since the week of april 13th. Why? Because a lot of great games are available and being sold for it. It also has a lot of games on the way to be excited about which doesn't hurt.

seriously though, does the psp go not count if the gameboy colour counts? And that would make the vita the 3rd? But come on, the psp go is a train wreck compared to the bump in the road the vita experienced.

N64 was a success. Gamecube did okish and saturn which is placed in the middle was an out right failure.

While dreamcast succeeded better, it was launched after a failed console half way through gens and was a loser before it even started...yet it wasnt a pure failure like saturn.

So that dosnt work.
