Do you mean tights:
Or leggings:
Because leggings have been worn as pants for AGES!
I have been seeing a lot of this too and I can't stand it. What is wrong with wearing pants?
Not to mention that all the girls that I see do it either have no business wearing tights, or their legs are so damn skinny they look like they couldn't hold the weight of the chick's torso.

" @Branthog said:More often, we Americans call the top ones pantyhose as they are a combination of hosiery, such as stockings, and the undergarments we call panties. Tights are basically opaque pantyhose, and leggings are specifically tights that end before the feet. Yes, it is indeed confusing." @CptChiken said:Oh you crazy americans with your muddling of our words. In england we call the top ones tights and the bottom ones leggings. I bloody love leggings. It's a huge improvement over the late 90's - early 00's fashion of wearing quite loose baggy trousers that we had to suffer.
I'm particularly fond of the wet look latex style.
"It's not as bad as seeing girls wear pajamas and slippers out to the grocery store, or on airplanes, or to Starbucks...yeah. Coming back to SFO from Albuquerque last week I was sitting in BUSINESS CLASS next to a girl who looked like she was going to a slumber party, complete with giant ass pillow and blanket. It's getting out of hand. "
