@Mesoian: We have issued two dress codes over it. My boss a couple years ago had to give a "hygene speech" to them. They are just fucking pigs with no common sense. I do not get it.
If I smelt like catpiss and could not detect it myself, I would want to be notified. Ironically I work at a animal shelter. I would take cat piss over these two dirtbags. My boss has forbidden me to say anything to them at work. But there are other ways to let them know.

More often, we Americans call the top ones pantyhose as they are a combination of hosiery, such as stockings, and the undergarments we call panties. Tights are basically opaque pantyhose, and leggings are specifically tights that end before the feet. Yes, it is indeed confusing.

So it's as bad in the U.S as it is here in the U.K. The worst thing I have seen so far was a guy wearing a tight t-shirt, sweats and flip-flops when it was 7 degrees maximum outside. PUT SOME FRIGGIN CLOTHES ON!
My wife and most of the females I know where leggings and I don't see a problem with it. I also have under armour and addidas men's leggings for running.
