Just what the topic says. Name video games that have different video game titles in different countries. I will get this started, Crackdown is titled "Riot Act" in Japan, Lair is titled "Rise From Lair" in Japan.

I just found out this week they released River King on the DS in Australia, but it has been renamed Harvest Fishing - that is just dumb.
Elebits = Eledees on the Wii.

There are a huge number of them to be found:
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin = Advance Wars: Dark Conflict and in Japan, it is Famicon Wars anyway.

I'm pretty sure Bionic Commando was called "Resurrecting Hitler: Top Secret" in Japan. I always thought that was funny.

Let's not forget that it happens with in-game characters too.

For example. In Japan, Sonic the Hedgehog's arch enemy Dr. Robotnick was alternatively called 'Eggman'. However, 'Eggman' would eventually become his name in future Sonic releases in the West...which to me, causes a little confusion to say the least. It could be another evil doctor for all we know...he even looks slightly different through re-designs. I believe that the name change to 'eggman' in the West is a tad bit silly to be honest. Afterall, Sonic 4 is due out soon and if you're a Western Sonic fan, who has only played the games in the original series...ah, who am I kidding? Nobody gives a fuck about this. All I'm saying is that he has always been called Dr. Robotnick in the instruction manuals (which contained summaries of the game's plot btw...and yes, they had a story to them surprisingly) yet now, we're going to have to call him 'Eggman'...even though...wait....right....no one gives a fuck.

....I mean, Robotnick had his own game in the West and everything and it's just....no one gives a shit, move on...ok.

....right um.....oh, another one would be Megaman - known as Rockman in Japan.

Oh and bow down to the almighty ruler of Shadowloo, Balrog! *ding, ding*

Sometimes name change is for legal reasons, such as this one - the name is already used by someone else or similar.  It even goes to systems, like:
I have a Mega Drive, you have a Genesis.

Perfect Dark is Red & Black in Japan.  Apparently because the phrase 'perfect dark' makes no sense over there.
The Little Big Adventure games were Relentless:  Twinsen's Adventure and Twinsen's Odyssey for North America.

Was also going to point out the Anno 1404 one.  Curses.

It's "Canis Canem Edit", and yeah, it's the phrase "dog-eat-dog" in Latin. I actually prefer that title to Bully, if I'm honest.

"Saboteur" is a proper word in German as well, and the correct article is "Der", not "Die".

However, game titles are never translated in Germany anyways, so the article wasn't the reason.

Turok became VIOLENCE KILLER in Japan.

Also since people have mentioned the bosses in street fighter 2, here's some more weird shit:  Cammy's "cannon spike" became "thrust kick"  and her "spiral arrow" became "cannon drill." Also Deejay's projectile was changed from "slash" to "max out".    Why did they make these switches, and why were those extra lines recorded in the first place? Who knows

Aw, my joke comment on this thread was deleted.  And I wasn't even notified!

I'll come up with an actual contribution then:
Animal Crossing: City Folk (U.S.)
Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City (Europe and Australia)
街へ行こうよ どうぶつの森 , Machi e ikō yo: Dōbutsu no mori (Japan) [Rough translation -- Animal Forest: Let's Go to the City]

Import Tuner Challenge is called Shutokou Battle X in Japan, IIRC.  And here's the cover!

Sorry I couldn't find a bigger cover. It's hard to find a Japanese cover, so finding a bigger version of something that was hard to get to start with is 'difficult'.

The Angry Video Game Nerd had a great episode about such confusions.. " Chronologically Confused about Titles"

the website doesnt seem to have embedding, so here's the video.
