For me it's definitely Phantom Brave. The game features brilliant character design, a pretty interesting story and great combat mechanics. :D It's made by Atlus, one of the best RPG makers in the world.
It came out for the PS2 and has a Wii remake as well. Check it out if you are a fan or JRPGs.
What's one of your favorite games that nobody has really played?
Genesis: Dick Tracy (unlike the NES version this one is actually pretty fun)
Game Boy Color: Metal Gear Solid or Tower of Babel depending on where you live (I think it is my all time favorite Gameboy game even better then Wario Land, Link's Awakening, and Donkey Kong)
DS: Contact (extremely quirky you'll either hate it or love it)
Gamecube: Skies of Aracadia (I know it is a Dreamcast port)
PS2: Shadow Hearts trilogy (I love the weird take on 30's and 40's European and American history through the eyes of anime obsessed Japanese)
Ground Control (2000) for the PC. Great graphics (especially the enviroments), good story, love the artstyle of the menus and units. Also first RTS to use cover/elevation/turret tracking speed and lots of other things that are now staples of the genre.
I still play through the first campaing every year or so. Highly recommend checking it out, even today!
Nobody I know has played this. Only shooter I had for my Genesis for a long time.
" PS1: Fighting Force, Crash Bandicoot 3Pretty much everyone I knew during the PS1 era had one of these. I had both.
- Trinity ~ an old Infocom text adventure
- Megamania ~ classic 2600 game from Activision (when they weren't the devil)
- Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System ~ I still want a sequel to this
- Maximo: Ghosts to Glory ~ A lot of folks complained about this one being very hard, but I loved it
- Hunter: The Reckoning ~ Explore and kill stuff. It had a nightmarish teddy bear boss fight!
I would have to say Bucky O'Hare on the NES is my top choice. Sure, it's a Mega Man clone by Konami based on a cartoon/comic aimed at kids and it only has 4 levels before the 'fortress' section, but the levels are creative and varied and frequent checkpoints allow sections to be very hard without being frustrating. Plus, I found a use for all of the weapons/abilities, which is a lot more than I can say for most Mega Man games.
Runners up for me include: Clash at Demonhead, Xexyz, Plok, Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 (it's obscure in the US at any rate), Tomba!, Brave Fencer Musashi, Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean, Darius Gaiden, and Panzer Dragoon Orta.
" PS1: Fighting Force, Crash Bandicoot 3PS2: Sly Racoon, The Getaway, Auto Modelista Games that I remember now, not really my fav. games but games I really enjoyed. "Crash Bandicoot 3 and Sly Racoon I have played a bunch of times, and I KNOW many others have too. Really good games, especially Sly Racoon. Also, I would guess a decent amout of peepz played The Getaway because of all the hype around the game before it was released. Was a bit of a let down, but still a game I saw through til the end.
"HAH! I threw that shit before I even came into the room!" - Dynamite.
Love your profile picture... =)
Oddworld Strangers Wrath and Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
Both came out pretty late in the xbox´s lifecycle but both were amazing games, especially Stanger. I thought that game had so many parts that were just done right: It was stealth, plattforming, shooter and a great story combined. What started out as a simple action/adventure with a focus on stealth and sedating enemies would eventually be a game that was almost a shooter like Halo, complete with dropships and lots of enemies on screen.
CoC: Dark Corners is still one of the creepiest games around, if you can look past some of the technical shortcomings.
I know plenty of people have played it, but Blood 2. Blood tends to get all the attention and the sequel is just kind of forgotten, although it's a fucking awesome game with one of the best main characters ever.
" Phantom Brave was okay..its not anywhere near good as Disgaea or Makai Kingdom though. I'll do mine in generations This Gen: Resonance of Fate, Valkyria Chronicles, Macross Ultimate Frontier Last Gen: Drakengard, Disgaea, Blood will tell, Godhand, Super Robot Taisen OG (GBA) "Makai kingdom was garbage compared to phantom brave. Phantom brave is one of those games for me too that i love but many people have not played. I bought the remake for the wii and sold my ps2 copy and put 40+ hours into it. On the Wii. Also i really like Atelier Iris 3 but noone seems to have heard of that game at all, for the ps2.

I've been wanting to play it since the PS2, but could never find it.

Anyways, the games that I like that nobody has played is La Pucelle Tactics, Legend of Legaia, and the .Hack series.
Oh, and Saint Sword on the Genesis
Archimedean Dynasty is definitely one of my favorite games...and almost no one talks about it. It's like a space sim, like x-wing or tie fighter, but underwater on a post-apocalyptic earth where everyone lives under the ocean. You take on missions from random people or do main storyline for money and you can buy all sorts of upgrades for your ship, like better armor, guns, automatic turrets, torpedos and sensors.
And the storyline was pretty cool too.
