Mine is:
1. NieR Automata
2. Wolfenstein
What's yours :)?
@farleyslundgren: I went in this thread to say the exact same thing. 3 might get a bad rep, but i played it earlier this year and found that a lot of the earlier puzzles make more sense & are signalled better than the ones in Grim Fandango. The annoyances are when you need to spot a black object on a black seat. Or footprints in an atrocious 3d field. Or need to know latin for 1 puzzle. Not the moustache puzzle that has inspired so many 'adventure games are dead' articles.
With this sites still relatively newfound fascination with Hitman (which ist great!), I think they should play through Blood Money, if just to discover that a lot of the stuff they think is specific to the latest game(s) has totally existed before.
I'd also like a Dave Snyder+Vinny+maybe Rorie playthrough of Vampire:Bloodlines, but that's not ever gonna happen.
And finally, Vinny+Abby playing the Blackwell games?!
I'd like GBeast to play the fmv game Daedulus Encounter starring Tia Carrera.
Vinnyborne: a playthrough of Bloodborne where Vinny tries to play through BB while Alex and Abby read him BB lore to keep him interest.
Entire Gbeast playthrough of H.E. Giger's Dark Seed.
@onemanarmyy: Totally with you that 3 gets a bad rap. Yes the cat moustache puzzle is ridiculous and some of the 3D camera stuff is a bit wonky but a lot of the games story and puzzles are otherwise really solid and engaging.
I want to see east coast play C&C / Red Alert. I could see a lot of fun from the FMV and joke units.
@flashflood_29: Oh hell yes. I still want to see Heartache return but GBE doing it would be glorious. I still remember that time Vinny teased possibly playing it on the site on Twitter when he found his old copy.
Will never happen in this timeline but #1 is VJ Persona 5.
Leisure Suit Larry. Not because I think the games hold up (they don't), but man... just imagine Vinny playing through those with Dan and Abby.
Gimme more adventure games: The Dame Was Loaded, the Monkey Island games, finish off Toonstruck.
Also, I want Alex to move onto Andromeda after he finishes the Mass Effect trilogy...
I'd like to see them do more co-op features, maybe even a co-op survival horror game. RE 5, 6, or Revelations 2 especially would all be fun. There's also Obscure, a horror game set in a high school, that could be a load of fun.
Maybe next Halloween have Abby play through Alien Isolation, with vinny on an Alien series SFX soundboard for obvious reasons. Even just a six crazy frights episode would do, though.
I'd love to watch Brad play through more DOOM games on the hardest difficulty.
If I had to pick just one, I think perhaps plenty of people on either coast don't know just how stupid Indigo Prophecy is, and that would be a fun journey. The East Coast crew would have a blast with that, I think.
.....Shenmue II? I have never even seen the first game until that endurance run. It's magical.
Honestly the long form video series is still my favorite. I have such a lower appetite for buying games now, I own a fucking million and can't get to any of them, that quick looks just inherently feel less like I desperately need to watch them all. Most of their "play this all the way through in one way or another" are just so fun and it's nice to see them dig into something.
Ah Bioforge. Kerbal. Contradiction! So many greats.
After watching Mass Alex, I'd like to see them play through Jade Empire. I played through like half of it when it was ported to 360 and always meant to finish it. I probably never will but I'd like to watch the GB folks play through it.
@cannedstingray: Woof.
Vinny brings up Mass Effect as a transition from Old to Modern Bioware but Jade Empire is a far less elegant step there....somehow.
@moda: You know Drew and Alexis played through all of the Halo games over the course of several years of Extra Life streams? Pretty much all of that is archived on the site; some also include other members of staff (or friends of the site) being present.
My picks would be Yakuza and Shenmue - both of which I still think we might see more of eventually. Originally I wanted them to do Kingdom Hearts, but after Ben's "attempt" fell apart I ended up watching my friend play through them instead (plus, having now seen it, the first game is not really where that series gets into its bullshit swing anyway).
Not a full series, but I'd love to see them play through a full game of Civilisation. I was bummed that didn't actually happen (although I enjoyed the mess it was a part of).
It’s a damn shame that Drew left before the hinted at Legend of Zelda series that was probably never gonna happen anyway. I imagine it would be like Metal Gear Scanlon but with Zelda. That would have been fantastic
I think it would be great to see a GBE playthrough of Divinity: Original Sin 2. Alex playing through a Civ campaign would be my second choice.
TIE Fighter or Freespace 2
No One Lives Forever 2
SHOGO Mobile Armor Division
I also think Divinity Original Sin 2 would be fun with the East crew.
A Dave Snyder/Vinny playthrough of Vampire would have been awesome. Bring back Ynniv Humbleskeep and be friends with the dragons!
Super Mario 3 with no warp whistles. Because honestly, who actually knows what half that game even looks like?
Exquisite Corps playing X-Com 2, Tactics Ogre/FF:T, or OG X-Com.

They played a lot of Hitman but what if similar to the Mass Effect series, Brad played through all the Hitman games from the very beginning.
Eh, if they did that I'd rather them just focus on Blood Money or something. I remember the PS2 games being alright but not sure how they hold up now, and would you really wanna see them play through Absolution?

I mean yah thats part of the fun I think. Like get through the early ones that don't play all that well and see the continued evolution - a sort of breaking Brad if you will. Honestly only the first one is REAL rough but starting from Hitman 2 onwards they're a lot more palatable. Absolution would be funny for all sorts of wrong reasons.
