Pretty much through Amazon for console games and Steam for PC games.  I don't drive due to my low vision, and I live in a tiny rural area without any game shops, so Amazon is pretty much it for me.

Pretty much exactly this.  I live in Scotland to and GAME is by far the closest to my house, and is beside where i do my food shopping so I make a fair amount of impulse buys there.

Why do you not use them then? Shipping issues?

Steam until my GPU broke down.

Amazon for my console needs.

And when I'm feeling particularly impatient I pay the convenience tax in Game Stop.

I don't know if you can call it shipping issues. I just don't like to wait for packages.  :P

Amazon and XBLA. I refuse to do business with Gamespot and have stuck to my guns since late 2008.

I occasionally drop into Best Buy if I want something right away, but I get most of my discs with Amazon. That, and I download from XBLM, PSN, Steam, and the iTunes store. Retro stuff usually comes from Ebay. Internet shopping is awesome.

I believe I'm in concordance with many of my counterparts above: Steam is my source of PC games (being a superior means in many ways), and EB Games (the local subsidiary of Gamestop) for my console games.

I only go Amazon. I can't be free 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime straight to my door PLUS release date delivery. The only time I'll stray away is if there is a particular preorder bonus that is exclusive to a different retailer.

On consoles it's a mixture of Amazon and Gamestop. For new releases, I'll check to see what Amazon's pre-order deal is, and if there's a launch day delivery option. If what's on tap doesn't tickle my fancy, I just Gamestop it.

I just recently put together my first real gaming rig (my last one was when FFXI launched, and it was far from impressive), but I find myself loving Steam. Picked up some cheap oldies, and tomorrow will be basking in my 1st Steam preordered game, Mafia 2.
