I was recently given a new copy of Fable 2 for the 360, but I already own one. However, the person didnt have a receipt and there are no visible stickers on the outside, other than part of a yellow one, which makes me think its Best Buy.
Anyway, is there a place thats good about returning games like this? Even if its just store credit, I'd love to be able to return it somewhere, even for less than its worth (but not what Gamestop thinks its worth).
Thanks everyone
Where to return a sealed game I dont want
Try the place you stole it from.
Nah, Im just kidding. If you are telling the truth your best option is probably just giving it to a friend.
Ha, that is what it looks like and what I'm concerned about. I'll probably just end up doing that if no one thinks a Best Buy or any other electronics place would take it.
eBay would be your best bet. I got a deal online for a bunch of copies of Tomb Raider: Anniversary for the Wii a while ago, and had a lot of trouble trying to sell them sealed to stores. Many stores will simply not take sealed games. Your very last option would be to open it and then trade it in, but I know for sure at Gamestop you will only get a few bucks for it.
I tried Walmart before, and they insisted that I needed a receipt, regardless if it was a gift or not. You might be able to do so anyways.
I was able to return it at Best Buy this morning for a $30 card. The worker didnt give me a hard time and took it from me for the lowest sale price.
I was pretty satisfied, and its been awhile since I had a bad Best Buy experience
