Poll: Which month's game lineup are you most excited for? (73 votes)

August 34%
September 27%
October 7%
November 25%
December 1%
Neither, 2014 is gonna crap all over 2013 in gaming! 5%

So yeah, in about two days, we'll be entering the blockbuster season for big name video game releases! I'm getting pretty excited and already planning on purchasing these games. I want to know from the Giant Bomb community which month has the game lineup they are most amped for? For a point of reference, I put the big name game releases into group.

Can somebody provide a list of those months' big-hitters? Whatever. I'm voting August because my birthday's at the end of that month.

August, payday 2 and killer is dead, it will be mine soon dammit!

Um, hard to say, most of the things I'm looking forward to don't have concrete release dates.

Can somebody provide a list of those months' big-hitters? Whatever. I'm voting August because my birthday's at the end of that month.

August because of Europa Universalis 4, aka the best game of the forevver

Oh, they're all pretty good. Next-gen launch is gonna be pretty good.

But then there's GTA V, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Batman Arkham Origins in the mean time. I think I might actually jump on maybe two of those. We'll see.

I am unhealthily excited for Divekick.

August has the most games I'm interested so I voted for that. September, though features the game I'm most looking forward to, GTAV

September is Rome 2 month, that's my pick.

November is certainly the month I'm most interested in watching pan out. But concerning games I'll be buying day 1, September takes it for GTAV.

September looks mighty fine, mainly due to Rayman.

September because:

  1. Grand Theft Auto V
  2. The Puppeteer
  3. Killzone: Mercenary

Then I guess November because Tearaway & PS4 launch games(Killzone, Driveclub, Knack, Watch_Dogs, AC4). Then October because Beyond: Two Souls & Batman. Then August because Saints Row 4 & Splinter Cell.

The week of August 18th is pretty damn stacked for a week in August. There are potentially four games that I want that come out that week; Saints Row IV, Disney Infinity, Divekick, and maybe XCOM.

Im buying :

•Dragon's Crown

•Killer is Dead

•Saints Row 4

•Hatsune Miku Project Diva f

Seriously am I the only person Hyped for Hatsune Miku? :'(

#19 Posted by TheUnsavedHero (1247 posts) -

For me, it's looking like a tie between August (Splinter Cell: Blacklist) and October (Battlefield 4).

#20 Posted by HerbieBug (4208 posts) -

Whenever Mew-Genics comes out. :)

#21 Posted by WarlordPayne (706 posts) -

August has Saint's Row 4 and Final Fantasy XIV, so that's my answer.

#22 Posted by Flappy (2356 posts) -

Killer is Dead is an August release but it comes out on the 27th, so I might as well lump it in with September. Septemgust is the true victor.

#23 Posted by Hamst3r (4568 posts) -

None of the above. :o

#24 Posted by BeachThunder (12437 posts) -

@mocbucket62: Add Outlast - it comes out on September 4. I'm really looking forward to that.

#25 Posted by ZolRoyce (852 posts) -

October, mostly because the Deadly Premonition pc version comes out then. Beyond Two Souls also looks pretty snazzy.

#26 Posted by ConfusedOwl (972 posts) -

The only major release I'm buying before the new consoles hit will be GTA5 in September, but November is where things will get really interesting for me with Watch Dogs and Killzone.

#27 Posted by RonGalaxy (3269 posts) -

You all are crazy, GTAV comes out in september, not august

Wake me up, when September begins.

#31 Edited by FancySoapsMan (5818 posts) -

November because of Zelda and Watch Dogs.

#32 Edited by Ares42 (2799 posts) -

Sorta hard to say without console release dates and full launch line-ups. Even disregarding that it seems pretty spread out with 2-3 games every month I look forward to. I'm tempted to say october, but it relies on Batman Origins being great and not a cash-grab sequel.

Rome 2, september of course.

#35 Edited by Svenzon (731 posts) -

September, because of GTA V and Rayman.

#36 Posted by TheLastGunslinger (311 posts) -

When do Super Mario 3D World and Windwaker HD come out? That's going to sway my vote quite a bit.

November's looking to be pretty cool.
