Why do Ryan and Jeff say everything is racist?

Is this some west coast thing?  I'm sure black in high school we jokingly said "that's racist" once in a while, but never to the extent the guys do.  We mostly went with the "that's what she said" gag, but I have never witnessed so many "that's racist" remarks.

EDIT:  I know it's a joke...duh...but I find it odd that they use that same joke as frequently as they do.  Never been around people that use it that often.

I noticed that in the Diner Dash quick look. I don't really care, but I thought it was a little odd that they kept saying it. Not that I think they are racist or anything. Far from it, in fact. It must also be hard, knowing that everything you say or do is going to be analyzed to its fullest extent.

They live north of San Fran, where people say that sort of thing without any sense of irony all the time. I like to think they have a great deal of contempt for them there hipsters and also maybe all those homeless people.

Because segregation of peoples based exclusively on their color is generally viewed as racist. The fact that it's a game, and they understand there's nothing racist about it is what makes it a joke.

Me and my mates often say that, and we're in the UK. Though it's more of a slow, drawn out "...you fucking racist" in an accusatory tone.

Every group of friends has some kind of quirky joke that they say to often.   It may seem weird to others but just think of the stuff you and your friends say to each other.   At least there not saying everything is gay. Which I have found some people to say and is very annoying.

Stop discriminating against racists. Its not their fault that they acknowledge white people are superior to all others. Bastard.

I think they are making fun of the fact that people get all up in arms over "political correctness" and how any deviation from that is deemed racism.

like they're not jokes about rape, the joke is:
"OMG I'M BEING RAPED"  when someone gets within their "personal space bubble."
