What the deuce is this nonsense? You guys do realize we can just turn it off, watch the video, and turn it back on, right? Efforts to combat ad blockers are equatable to DRM efforts to curb piracy, they are, at best, completely flaccid, and wholly ineffective. Take comfort in the fact that most people are too stupid to use anything but Internet Explorer, so I doubt you're really losing all that much revenue to FireFox users here. :)
So yeah, proceed with the flames/locking. I post here once every three months or so anyway, so I won't really care.
"You appear to be using an ad blocker, please turn it off"

Yeah, this is kind of a non-issue. The new player won't play the video in question until after the ad is loaded. I think that Dave mentioned somewhere else a bit earlier that you'll see four advertisements a day (someone correct me if I'm wrong) without AdBlock enabled. It seems fairly reasonable to me. I really don't know what else to say.
You come here and watch videos, read articles, make forum posts...
Least you could give back is a 15 second ad-viewing.
EDIT: douche
"EDIT: douche"Sorry, but I've got to agree. They don't ask you to pay them to view their content. The least you could door is see some advertising. They're not asking you to click on it. I just found out yesterday that AdBlock Plus had automatically blocked the ads on this site for the last year thanks to the automatic updates I get. No wonder I never saw any ads when people were talking about them. I've felt bad ever since.
I don't get why everyone feels like they need to block all the ads they can while online. You need to embrace dumb ads people! Internet ads are similar to television ads, they both can be annoying but are part of the experience. You are missing out on all kinds of crazy stuff without ads.
Exhibit A:
I wish all ads could be converted into sweet remixes.
The problem essentially solves itself. The douches that cry about ads, can't watch the videos. It's basically win-win.
And you just have to add GB to the adblock's white list.
It's not difficult. Also, is it for the adverts or so that people now have the ability to click where they want during a video?
"If the player doesn't work for you now you likely have noscript or adblock running on Firefox. We didn't do this intentionally, it's just the way we have to check for an ad before we initialize the player. At the same time we have no intention of spending parts of our workday trying to build a workaround for people specifically trying to avoid the only means of revenue this website has. It's not like we deliver crazy popunders or anything. At most you'll have to endure 4 prerolls per day, per user."
That's what Dave posted and in my opinion that's fair enough.
"Thanks, I was just going to link to that when closing this thread."If the player doesn't work for you now you likely have noscript or adblock running on Firefox.
