Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix Giant Bomb Tournament


I am planning of organising a Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix tournament for the members of Giant Bomb both on 360 and PS3, inscriptions will be open next week and the week after that the tournament itself will begin.

Let's see who is best
Since not everybody is from the time zone it would be hard to all be online at exactly the same time so this tournament like the currently running Super Smash Bros Brawl tournament will work with dead lines. Every fight has to be fought before a certain date, it will be up to the fighters to pick a date and fight their match before the dead line. Once the first dead line will be reached a new dead line for the second round of fights will be set up. These dead lines will most likely be weekly so that every one has the time to fight their match.

If you are already interested in entering the tournament you can say so in this thread and i'll PM you as soon as the inscription thread is live.

I will include further detail in the inscription thread that i will post next week.

  • Plain best out of three matches

O sorry i forgot about that, yeah multi platform. Both 360 and PS3 will have a separate ladder.

Well he isnt technically a member of GB any more but if he wants he can still join, just ask him for the needed info and i'll add him to the grid when the inscriptions thread go up.

It doesn't matter if this is Evo or not. Their tournament rules make a lot of sense.

Thanks for the link, most of their rules are common sens they quite resemble the way i am running the SSBB tournament  (dead line for first match ends in 18 hours may i remind everyone) but i'll give the link another read before i make the inscription thread.

edit:messed up about the deadline with the SSBB tournament, it is the 6TH 12 o'clock GMT

Jus a quick hit up on the Levios joining milarkey, - have we all forgotten his 'winning tactics' for SFHD? (which was bascially lag switching) just a quick thought.

Not sure, never had it happen to me myself (or have i and i just havent noticed??? Gah my head hurts) but just thought id throw it out there, wouldnt bother me as i dont own a 360 but if there was somebody that was winning by breaking the system , whether its levios or not,  its hould be taken into account if you want any kind of sportsmanship.

i tried buyin this the other day on the psn, (because i prefer ps3 controller for fighting games) but i keep getting an error 800..something everytime i try to confirm purchase.

If your using a debit it could mean there is no money in the account.

Actually this is not the thread to sign up, that one will go up around the weekend, the actual tournament will start one week after that. This is just so that people know its coming.
