What Was The Best Halo Game
ODST.
Followed by Wars.
ODST.
Yep, ODST is the best.
ODST.
Followed by Wars.
ODST is fantastic, my favorite by far. I've got this copy of Wars on my shelf, but I've never actually... taken the disc out. I will though! I promise!
id go with halo 3 followed by halo reach,
halo 1 has nostalgia behind it, halo 2 started to drag near the end, but had the most interesting story with the covenant hierarchy and the arbiter stuff.
odst aside from the soundtrack had a poor story and whatever characters, did experiment with the halo gameplay a bit ill give it that,
reach is right up there with halo 3 as the best imo, but it doesnt have the i think "punch" that halo 3 had, (fighting 2 scarabs in halo 3 with the trademark music behind it, i think is imo one of the best spectacles this generation)
halo 4 almost perfected the core moving around and shooting gameplay,
but the story and campaign i thought was terrible, story relied too heavily on knowledge of the books (who didnt read the books know who the didact properly is?) and was toooo much of a chief/cortana character story when its supposed to be the first game in a trilogy, it under utilizes potentially interesting side characters, the new enemies were boring to fight and didn't radically change up the halo strategy as they were hyping it up to be, and the new guns were poor,
halo 4 has me nervous about the rest of this trilogy of games, and thats a huge bummer considering i think halo is one of the best series in gaming.
Best multiplayer was halo 2. Best campaign was Reach. I play halo for the multiplayer so halo 2 is the best. Cant say I understand all the love for ODST. Found that campaign was mediocre and it had zero memorable characters or moments. Never played wars. This poll sucks by the way.
Although hard to choose, Halo 2 will remain as an important game in my life that I won't ever be forgetting.
Three felt like the biggest achievement on the original format, before it felt like they needed to do something different.
Halo 3 & Reach are equally two of the best Halo games in my book. I have so many fond multiplayer memories with friends in Halo 3. By Halo Reach all of my friends moved on to other games, but I still enjoyed playing it for about 200 hours with randoms.
I've put a lot of time into Halo 4 so far, but I do have some praise & critiques. For one I love the singleplayer campaign's story better than any other game in the franchise. Here we have a Halo game that finally has a cohesive narrative that answered a lot of questions that I had about the series, and the facial animations are the bee's knees. The gameplay scenarios in the singleplayer campaign are my least favorite of all the games. When it comes to multiplayer I hear a lot of people bitch about the ranking system & loadouts, but I actually like them. I also love the multiplayer maps more than any other Halo, it's just too bad that the online community has shrunk dramatically.
Halo 3 has the best multilayer and the second best campaign, ODST has the best campaign... but Halo 3 would have to take the top spot for me.
ODST.
Yup. Campaign wise at the least. Liked Halo 1's multiplayer the most, probably
Having played through on Heroic several times and gone through a BUNCH of firefight, I really don't know why so many people enjoy Reach. I am absolutely somebody that enjoys me some Halo but I do not like playing Reach, it's just frustrating and it feels more like I am being punished for being part of it rather than being rewarded with a good time. Defeating enemies doesn't feel like what the game is, it feels like that thing I am doing in between being killed by some straight up bullshit.
Halo 4, honestly. I like that they finally got me to connect on an emotional level with the characters, and that they are showing off more of the Halo universe while moving it forward.
ODST.
First post got it right. I refuse to take part in your crappy poll!
