I went to Tested to see this aforementioned article and was hit with a "dont miss your chance to get a green card" ad (I'm currently outside the US). Is anyone elae seeing it? I am mildly offended.
If I'm not mistaken, Tested is not officially affiliated with Mythbusters. Adam and Jamie recently launched a new show called Unchained Reaction. Berman Braun (the new owners of Tested) co-produce this new show alongwith Discovery Studios. Unchained Reaction is apparently some sort of reality game show where two competing teams are given tasks and identical equipment etc. Adam, Jamie and a guest judge the results.
Great! Because, frankly, I'm impressed at the restraint they have when blowing shit up. I mean, how do you not say something along the lines of "holy shit" when you blow things up on a regular basis?

Maybe, I could be wrong, but I feel like they sort of scream and laugh more than anything when thing get blown up.
Will Tested continue to have their podcasts? From Discovery's perspective, what good does another Technology podcast do when they already have the completely deplorable TechStuff podcast that the How Stuff Works people put out?

Yes, apparently the Tested podcasts will continue as normal.
They have actually cursed on the show- its generally bleeped out. All he says in the article is shit which on some channels is acceptable anyway.
He's not really breaking boundaries here haha- the article was good though. Sucks they seem to be pumping out short articles all day though- its kinda weird. That.. and they're broken so it seems like you only get part of the article then a bunch of blank space or something. Its weird.

they didn't get bought by Discovery, Tested will not be directly related to the Mythbusters show.
phew, thats good to know because the fear that they couldn't curse anymore was the only problem that anyone had with the changes to tested. Now that we know that isnt true anymore then its completely 100% fine. right guys?
As someone who watches a lot of Mythbusters, there is cursing on the show but just bleeped out. Guess the internet stuff is just not bleeped out though you'd think with the huge amount of kids reading any articles Mythbusters crew does, they'd reword some of it.

Haven't watched it in a while, but yes they had a lot of bleeps in the show. I mean they fucking blow shit up, how can you have that without profanity.
Honestly, I'm happier with where Tested is going post-acquisition, than GB. Will and Norm have clearly demonstrated that they know what they're doing, and their Top Men are on the case with a lot of the fallout and missteps in the initial transition.
Looking at where GB is, and seeing CBS' brand of takeover, I can't help but painfully think of this quote:

I hope GB doesn't end up going down that path. It's got a lot more soul than GS or GFAQs ever did.
