Do you remember the last CD you bought?

I pre-ordered Beach House's Bloom as a CD, and I guess I got it two weeks ago. I normally just stream albums or download them piecemeal, but, after listening to some leaks of the album, and wanting to listen to it in my car without having to burn a CD, I decided to get it in a physical format.

I still buy CDs. I bought two at once a month or two ago, they were Poison by Bullet for My Valentine and The Illusion Of Safety by Thrice.

Preordered Amanda Palmers new cd on Kickstarter, Ends in 2 days and almost hut 1 million dollars in pledges.

I bought Mercury Rev's "Deserter's Songs", Engel's "Absolute Design" and "Aenima" from a record store that was closing down about 3 years ago. Since then I haven't bought any CD's, only vinyl records to frame and hang on my walls.

I bought a copy of the Gurren Lagann soundtrack at a convention last Saturday.

OF Tape Vol. 2 and before that Empros by Russian Circles.

I buy a cd usually every few months or so. Last one I bought was about 3 weeks ago, Kyuss - ...And the Circus Leaves Town

Heard one of the singles and I really liked it. Just saw it and bought without a second thought. Kind of nice diving into an album from a band you never heard about before.

Pink Flag by Wire. I always buy cds. They tend to be cheaper than album downloads and I like to read through the booklet/lyrics sheet that comes with them. Also, theres the fact I actually own a physical copy of the music.

I have never bought a single CD in my life. I just ripped my dad's collection onto my PC and supplemented it with iTunes.

Alpocalypse a few months ago. I prefer owning a CD for stuff, since my car can actually play those.

I have a thing for FLAC as a format so I tend to buy my CDs physical. The last one I bought was Joose Keskitalo's Tule Minun Luokseni, Kulta. A finnish weirdo who does Tom Waits-esque anecdotal music about screwed up stuff.

I only buy local band's cds. So WitchStone and Mares of Thrace I guess.

Great album, fucking fantastic band.

I, actually, just started buying CD's again. There aren't enough places online that offer flac downloads. And the ones that do don't offer very much. I also like having a hard copy.

Got Billy Joel Greatest Hits 1-3, Portishhead - Dummy, Collin Hay - Man @ Work, Steel Panther - Feel the Steel and Balls Out most recently.

Was an ELO CD for my dad..the last CD I bought for myself ....jeez, must be Stadium Arcadium - RHCP, which was what '06. Certainly been in a while.

A Less Than Jake B-Sides album. Better than many bands a-side albums.

OFWGKTA Volume 2 from Best Buy.

It was a re-release of Rubber Soul - The Beatles when they did that whole enhanced limited editions of all of the albums in 2009.

August Burns Red - Leveler. Fantastic choice, I have listened to it tons of times. However, this was a few weeks after that album's release, and I haven't bought anything since then.

For me personally? Plainsong by Susan Enan back in Christmas '09. I only bought the CD then because you couldn't get it digitally at all, she was that small-scale that all the CDs were sent from her parents nearest post office. I know sounds really hipster of me, but it felt good supporting her and getting a hand-written parcel was really cute. Good album too.

I did buy the last Florence + The Machine CD for mothers day much more recently though.
