Response to everyone asking why she "jumped in" is, uh, maybe she tripped and/or fell despite the title of this thread? Doesn't sound very improbable considering I don't even see any sort of protective barrier above their lake.

Plenty of reasons for a person to jump in a pit of death and pain like that. She could be autistic, have mental problems, have been intoxicated or maybe pushed.

" 2 Christmas Eves ago (I think it was), some kid was throwing rocks at a tiger and got killed (tiger jumped out of the pit to get him), and hurt one of his friends / brothers."
That took place in San Francisco and they ended up blaming it on the Zoo for not having a good enough enclosure. WTF do you think will happen when throwing rocks at a tiger.
