Texas Chainsaw Massacre [1974] & The Thing [1982] are pretty up there but I think Jaws [1975] takes the cake for me. You?
Favorite Horror Film?
Evil Dead II
or the original Dawn of the Dead
or the original Wicker Man
one of those.
edit: oh right and also Alien.
Not to be an asshole but I hated Dawn of the Dead (Romero version)
I don't have a favorite horror movie.
I am actually looking for horror movie recommendations. :(
I've seen most movies mentioned here already.
If Jaws qualifies as a horror movie I'll gladly pick that. I've always considered it more of a thriller, though. Creature Feature makes it sound much dumber than it is.
I wish I liked horror movies more. I have tried to get into them but I can't stand the feeling of suspense, and I really don't like gore that much either. It's honestly like an internal struggle for me to watch a scary horror movie. But if people count this as one, I love Jaws.
I grew up with 80's horror comedies. So for me my favourites are stuff like Goulies, Gremlins and Leprechaun.
I have to say the exorcist is one of the greatest films ever made n my fav but other recommendations are demons 1 n 2, suspira, creepshows demon knight, Romeros zombie movies except the last one, the exorcist 3, lost boys, near dark, return of the living dead 1,2 n 3 I have more but I feel like these are enough n plus some already have been mentioned. These movies r awesome their funny n serious n some r both enjoy
Went to blockbuster to get some scary movies for Halloween Night, couldn't find the Thing or The Shining, both of which I have not seen, and am told are fantastic, I got The Ring and The Blair Witch Project instead, I guess thats what happens when you wait until the last minute.
I'll never forget seeing Apocalypso at the cinemas...
I went with a friend and we got stoned beforehand. It was just us and this couple in the cinema, who walked out in disgust only minutes into the movie. This left just my friend and I with the cinema to ourselves.
Now I know Apocalypso isn't a horror film in the traditional sense, but for the next two hours, we were absolutely horrified.
