Favorite Songs of the Year... So far.

I'm really liking Grimes' new album. Especially this song.

@mandude: Finally some love for Clockwork Angels! Although I have to say my favorite track on that album is BU2B, I'm a sucker for Neil Peart's not-so-subtle shots at religion.

@shinboy630: Yeah, both BU2B and Caravan are fantastic, but considering they were released 2 years ago, the Anarchist stands out to me much more. All in all, I'd say it hits the mark much more than Snakes and Arrows did for me.

The only album I have listened to from this year is Here by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and I think it's pretty awesome. This is probably my favourite song from the album.

Cancer for Cure from El-P has been getting the most play from me so far, but this thread is definitely giving me more to look into!

The one thing I have learned by going through this thread is that I think most of you guys have really shitty taste in music. No offense to anyone, seeing as most of you guys probably wouldn't like the music I listen to either.

I don't think I can pick a favorite, although I think I've listened to Winchester more than anything else this year.

Here's a selection of my favourites from the year so far, just from the top of my head. Might be different if I put more thought into it.

Depends on if your into electro, but I've found this to be a pretty good pump up song

@Falx: Will do, I'm more of a power metal fan myself, and this is really the only metal album so far this year that I have enjoyed a lot, as I'm not really a fan of Gojira or any of those bands.

@SmasheControllers: I was never a huge Pumpkins fan but I find that song my favorite off the new album, seeing them now it's funny it looks like a bunch of college kids started a band with their music professor haha.
