As a college student, I seem to do this quite often. Mostly when writing papers. If it wasn't for sites like Giant Bomb, I wouldn't procrastinate so much....but who could really resist?
How often do you pull an all nighter?
Probably three or four times a month. Last time was on Wednesday-Thursday last week when I had to write a paper.
What falls under the term all-nighter? I'm up from 8AM to 3 AM just every everyday, or do you mean like staying up until the sun is out?
"What falls under the term all-nighter? I'm up from 8AM to 3 AM just every everyday, or do you mean like staying up until the sun is out?"Staying up until the sun is out
Sadly then, as of now I can only pull an all nighter during some kind of break since I have some classes in the evening and some classes early morning.
"Sadly then, as of now I can only pull an all nighter during some kind of break since I have some classes in the evening and some classes early morning."Same here, plus work in the afternoon, which is the reason why I pull all-nighters >_<
I don't think I actually ever have. The latest I've ever stayed up, as far as I can remember, was 5:30 AM when I was helping my girlfriend at the time with her homework.
I love sleep. I usually take a few naps every week, and on days when I don't have school I sleep in until like 11:00.
I did once throughout my whole freshman year...I've had 3 in the past two weeks, so needless to say, I'm used to pulling all-nighters in order to get stuff done.
Curse English majors- having me read 400 page novels in a week is teh suck.

"I don't follow a sleeping schedule like normal people and only sleep when I'm tired, so quite a bit."Same. I'm notorious in my cadre of friends for being the group insomniac. Even on my facebook profile, I've entered the phrase "I never sleep" into the About Me box.
Once in a while the night just passes by without tiring me. But I can remember one instace were I still went to school. I stayed up all night playing Doom, then went to school, stayed up all night again and then went to sleep Saturdays at about midday. But those times are over. Nowadays I can barely stay awake for 24 hours straight.
If there is a deadline I will be, guaranteed, up all night the night before. Longest I've gone is 63 hours without sleep finishing a portfolio. It felt like a comedown from MDMA or something.
Deadlines tomorrow in fact. Yes I will be up all night.
I reject the idea of blaming Giant Bomb though :P for us procrastinators if it wasn't GB it would be something/anything else... making cheese on toast for example.
"If there is a deadline I will be, guaranteed, up all night the night before. Longest I've gone is 63 HOURS WITHOUT SLEEPfinishing a portfolio. That's insane! That's torture! That's a combination of both at the same time! Even though you've apparently procrastinated, I give you props, sir.
Anyways, yeah, I've been beginning to realize how much I actually procrastinate. Seriously, I wish I'd just get it over with, but something happens to where I end up doing most of it the night before. I need to stop, though, or else I'm gonna end up eventually doing something that will take 63 hours without sleep like the gentleman I previously gave props to. I really don't think it's worth it at all.
I would say...rarely. Back when I was in highschool, yeah, and maybe once in a while I'll stay up very late with friends, but not all nighters... Just the thought of it makes me tired.
Not very often but during holidays I tend to go to bed at 10AM, only to wake up a 6 in the evening. There has been a couple of times where I havn't seen the sun for weeks.
I did it more often in high school because of procrastination with big assignments. I have straightened my shit out since then. Now I only go for it when I'm really enjoying a game, look at the clock and see it's like 3 am, then say "fuck it, all-nighter time!"
Often, I love wild nights out. Sometimes, they are not just nights, instead they can be consecutive days, as many as four of five days at times. They usually consist of casual drug abuse.
I work for myself and have nobody to answer to. It's great way to live and I would not be happy any other way.
This year it's been 2 or 3 times a month, partly because of papers due, mostly because of all-night Smash Bros marathons.
I rarely pull all nighters for school. I've only pulled one this semester. I had to write a gnarly risk analysis for my 'Business Communication for Accountatnts' class after I got out of a financial accounting test at 10pm. Fun times.
Other than that, I'll occasionaly pull an all nighter if I really want to be in the water at sunrise to surf. Sometimes waking up for a freezing cold morning surf is hard to do, so an all nighter is the only way to get myself out there.
