I have a 50gig limit, but I've been going 100%+ on it each month for well over a year. Apparently no one has ever been charged or throttled for exceeding their limit on my ISP, despite it being in the terms and conditions.
Australia is pretty infamous for data caps and a non-neutral internet in general. Data caps are the devil, and ISPs use them to funnel you toward their and their partners services "at no cost to your quota!." Sad :(
I get 7Mbps (advertised) and can usually max out whatever the server download limit is. Example, if I'm downloading a LEGAL freeware product (obviously) I can hit around 700kbs. I have no limits, and I pay around $100 monthly. ENVY ME!
(also I live in the US. In Idaho. No one else uses the internet here, soo all the bandwiths belongs to me)

The unfortunate truth is that I live in Vermont, and in this god forsaken shit hole, unless you live in or within 1 mile of a town or city, you are stuck with these miserable people. They have hundreds by the balls and they know it.
You could suck Google's fiber optic cock and try to convince them your town needs 1Gbps fiber to the home. They'll be building some testbeds throughout the country later this year.
Who cares about that? Nowadays, the problem here in the U.S. is internet speeds. I laugh at you people who complain of bandwidth limits, because chances are your internet is way faster than ours, yet cheaper. Be thankful for what you have.
I live in Australia and therefore get screwed. 1.2mbps and 160gb = $140 Aussie dollars a month. Still at least my ISP fights for my rights to do want ever I want with the Internet. I bet Giant Bomb gets blocked for at least a day when the government introduces their Australia wide net filter.
i should be laughing at u. i don't have a internet limit. if i do then i dont' go over it. i'm pretty sure i don't go over it because i download and surf never heard of anything.
