I need my cellphone for business things, but I can always email.
If you had to go a month without, which would you choose? (Question of the Day 8-12-10)
" @damnboyadvance said:Well it's just a little thing called chat. It works just as well as text messaging. I assure you it's not that sad. ;)" Cell phone. I have more friends on Facebook than phone numbers. "That's just sad. I would choose the internet, as without a cellphone it's pretty hard to call girls back :P "
Cellphone. I barely use the one I have as it is. There are too many other options for communication while the internet is more than just chatting with friends.
" @astrotriforce said:Yeah this proves how much I know, eh lol. I forgot that you could do this :P" @billnyethesciencepie said:They have this thing called Skype Out. It allows you to phone from the internet to a real phone. Surely your parents, grandparents and aunt have real phones. "" Dude cellphone. I dont know if you know thise, but theres this thing called skype. You can talk to people OVER THE INTERNET. "Sure but my parents and grandparents don't know how to use that newfangled technology, either does my aunt who doesn't own a computer. Not everyone is online you know. Just everyone from our generation :P "
" I just did go a month without a cell phone between when my old contract with Sprint expired and my new contract with AT&T was made with the iPhone 4. "And how was that experience?
Cellphone. I'm looking for a job right now and HR people are calling me on my cell a lot these days.
I think it's the first time I've actually used it in a looong time.
" @InfamousBIG said:Yo, I'm not gonna lie dude, it fucking sucked. You get spoiled by this technology; I'm so used to being able to contact anyone wherever I am and have them contact me. It was also hard re-contacting everybody and letting them know my new number." I just did go a month without a cell phone between when my old contract with Sprint expired and my new contract with AT&T was made with the iPhone 4. "And how was that experience? "
In the end, though, it's worth it, as I've gone from a phone that might have been state of the art 6 years ago to one that's state of the art now.
I dunno. I can easily live without the internet for weeks at a time without even missing it. Then again, I will leave my phone at home an entire day (and as long that I know where it is, and that it is not lost or something), I don't really think about it much or feel the need to check for calls/msg's or whatever else.
I would have to say probably internet would be the one I would go without though. Actually, can we still use a house phone, if so, my decision changes. I will wait until I get an answer one way or another until I actually vote.
