I saw a GB friend using safari and now im trying it and according to Apple is the fastest browser available, even faster than IE7 and Firefox.
Is it true that Safari is the Fastest Browser available atm?
Kind of biased don't you think?
Depends on a variety of things from operating system to memory.

I have Safari and its is amazingly fast. I don't know about the best browser but this is still the best one I have used lately. Better than Firefox, IE6 and IE7, etc.
I think all browsers say that they are the fastest in thw world.
If you are looking for a browser to use Giant Bomb with, then Safari or Firefox 3 are you best options.
Yea theyll all claim that, i just checked and safari is using like 256mb of ram, IE and FF were using like 60-150 before.
safari has a lot of exploits that make your computer very vulnerable just look up "mac easiest to hack safari" and youll get tons of articles.
Opera is actually the fastest browser, I even said this when I used firefox.
If you don't notice it (ie 5miliseconds) then who cares? Its not only about speed, its about usability, customizations, etc. That's where FF3 did it for me.
as far as stuff being faster than IE goes, walking into a wall in order to get to a location is faster than using IE to get to a website.
IE7 and Firefox are really slow compared to other browsers, I'm pretty sure that Safari isn't the fastest but it doesn't surprise me that it's quicker than the big 2.
I am using the new Safari 4.0b Browser and it is noticeably faster than FF3 and Opera. I am using a Mac that might make a difference, also IMO FF3 is blazing on the PC but runs like a stuck pig on a Mac.
Either Safari or Firefox, Safari always seems faster for me. I don't know how anyone could still use Internet Explorer, the thing is ass.
Before using Chrome, I used Safari. I found it more on the slow side most of the time than on the faster side. Try it out, though; it may have been just my computer or something.
Has anybody tried Stainless for the Mac yet? Just a Tech demo right now but seems like it could be a contender if it implements some features.
