It seems to easy to die from drinking too much water

Friend of mine lost the ability to speak and then fell unconscious after drinking 3 liters of water during school , just around this time last year. He was sent in an ambulance to the hospital to get his stomach pumped and then had to stay there for two days while they monitored him.

3 litres in 3 hours isn't a lot for the average person. The average person's kidneys can filter out about a litre of water per hour. And even if you drink a reasonable amount more than that, it still isn't toxic yet. It takes serious amounts of water to die from water poisoning. Unless you literally down gallons and gallons of the stuff, or have malfunctioning kidneys, you're got very little to worry about.
