First: Cream of Wheat is delicious, though kinda meh if you just have it on its own. Like oatmeal and grits before it, Cream of Wheat is best when served with spices and possibly some dried fruits. Cream of Rice, however, is nasty.
Secondly: The most disgusting American food is fried Coke anything.
The worst american food IMO is something found in the Pennsylvania/DE/NJ area. It's called scrapple, and is basically a gray brick of 'pork' (really mostly pig organs -- snout, skin, tongue, heart, lips, etc) mashed together, that were too low-grade to be made into hot dogs, sausage, or spam. You fry it up and eat it as a breakfast food.
I'm going to go with Spam. The first bit is ok but after that I have to force myself to swallow the rest. And no, no one forces me to eat it I was just referring to time where there's nothing else to eat and I'm hungry.
@buzz_killington: I ate a bit of Pig's Feet before but I thought it was pork with lots of fat and then I was told what it was and immediately stopped eating it.
