My Favorite Beer?
When I am being cheap Bud Light Lime pretty good on the cheap side, its like Corona with the Lime Already IN IT!! Besides that I don't drink to much any more I got it out of my system after I got drunk at a bar a couple years ago so just the occasional store bought beer.
But I do enjoy a good dark beer every now and then.
Carlsberg Elephant in general for the favorite. Classic Budweiser for my "comfort beer" that I just tend to drink with meals, while watching a movie, just socially...ect.
" Shiner Bock for the win! "Thats some good stuff but Stella Artois has caught my attention. My dad brought me to it. Its expensive as hell though 10 dollars a 6 pack.
I like a good hefeweizen, but they are usually hard to come by around here.
I like Killians as well but it's not super common either.
I often just end up getting whatever is dirt cheap like PBR, Bud or Narragansett. Although even then the places I go are often still expensive.
" @MarkWahlberg: what kind of things do u need to make ur own beer? i want to make beer but my dad thinks it will be hard to do. he makes wine.
... I was kidding. No idea how to make a good beer. Although I did overhear some people like a week ago talking about how they were brewing shit in a tub. But. as with all things, Google will most likely answer your questions.
" @Maxszy said:I've never had Abbey Ale from Ommegang. I will have to give it a try the next chance I get! Thanks :-)" 1. ChimayAhh, some good beers there. My favorite is the Abbey Ale from Ommegang, but Chimay White is right up there as well. I also dig Yard's Brawler quite a bit. "
2. Ayinger
3. Anything from Weihenstephaner
Ewww...Bud Light. I'm sorry, man...but I can't drink piss water.
Personally, I'm lucky enough to live in Texas, home of Shiner. I would suggest that you go down to the store, look for some Shiner Bock. Granted, a bock and a beer are two different beasts, but MAN...that shit is good.
I'm also a big fan of Shiner Hefeweizen, which is a yeast-activated honey lager based from orange peels rather than barley and oats. It's a bit of a thick lager, but it goes down smooth and has a great aftertaste. You can't drink it from the bottle, though - has to be from a glass.
I'll also go for a lower-end red lager, like Killian's, from time to time. Mainly, though, it's just Shiner. I mean, if Bud is all that's available, then yeah...I'll drink that. Otherwise, I'll put out the extra money for some quality shit.
Then again, I rarely drink beer or lagers nowadays. If I do drink, it's usually either Jager or Wild Turkey...or if they have a good brand at the local liquor stores, some good corn whiskey.
Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale is my favorite, hands down.
It's not known extraordinarily well outside of Nova Scotia, but it's starting to spread across Canada having just opened a brewery in BC.
Uggh! I can't stand wine. It reminds me of church."I'm more of a wine person anyways."

I got a Sapporo one time that was freaking huge. It was like a small keg with a handle on it." The only good beer "
No way, I know of and try many beers from all over the world. there's no fucking way I would restrict myself to one shitty commercial brand
"I'm Portuguese, so I was brought up around wine drinkers. I'm 16 but I already have a quite a taste for wine. "Yea, I probably couldn't tell the difference between a thousand dollar bottle of wine and a two dollar bottle.
" @iam3green said:I've been making my own beer. It's not terribly difficult to do, but it is a bit time consuming. You need to boil ingredients for an hour or so (malt extract, hops, grains, etc), then put them in an airtight fermenter with yeast for about 2 weeks. Then you add a bit more sugar and transfer that mixture to the bottles (which is a pain in the ass) and let them sit for another week. That's the really brief version, there's also a bunch of other stuff, like cleaning, siphoning, straining, etc. Ultimately, it is not any cheaper to brew your own beer than it would be to buy a decent microbrew, and it's certainly more expensive than getting a case of Miller Lite." @MarkWahlberg: what kind of things do u need to make ur own beer? i want to make beer but my dad thinks it will be hard to do. he makes wine....
