Hey guys. You may have noticed my absence from Giant Bomb and Twitter over the past few days, and the reason is that I was in the hospital. The short version of the story is that I had a lot of abdominal pain which has led to an abscess being drained. Actually, it's still draining, but slowly enough that I was allowed to go home, though a visiting nurse is going to have to come every day to empty the drain. A week-ish from now it should be done, and I'll go back and get it removed.
I'm definitely doing better now, but like I said, I have a thing in me draining fluids, so there's still a ways to go. And while I desperately wanted this year's Moosies to be ready on time, I'm afraid there's no chance in hell of that, given that I haven't actually written anything for them yet. I could half-ass a top ten list, but that would be selling out.
Also, given that this year's Moosies are Year of Luigi themed, and Nintendo made some comment about the Year of Luigi extending into next year, I feel justified in doing this. I'm afraid I can't pin down a target date yet, because I really want to put everything I can into these Moosies, and thinking requires more effort than you think. As does typing. I need to get a better set up for my computer.
For the time being, I'm just going to relax, get as much rest as I can, and deal with this drain in my belly (which really isn't as bad as I'm making it sound, but it still sucks). I may try to catch up with/keep up with GB's game of the year stuff, I may not. So if I continue to not be active online, don't worry, I'm just not going through with the effort to set up my laptop and go online, at least not when episodes of Star Trek are only a few button presses away on Netflix.
I will definitely keep you guys updated on when I think I should be getting The Moosies out there, and my health in general. Thanks for your patience, I swear the stupidity of what I have planned will be well worth it.
