Not an American, but I've visited the states enough to say that Target's pretty decent. It's either as good as or better than Wal-Mart.

I've always preferred Target over the other large chain retailers like Wal-Mart or Meijer's (Here in the Midwest). It's pretty standard stuff, but it's presented well and there typically are not as many weird looking people like at my Wal-Mart.

Hipsters and liberal shop there because it's not the evil Walmart. Recently this video has surfaced which proved they hate unions as much as the big evil W.

It's a slightly upscale version of WalMart.  I go there all the time.

Target is a good store. I go to one in a nearby neighborhood whenever I'm in general need of household items. Just the other day I went there expressly to by a toaster and underwear.

For what purpose, I'll leave up to your imagination.

But yeah, Target's cool.

Target's clothign is actually decent unlike the garbage Wal-Mart (and god forbid K-Mart) pumps out.  It has actually been less expensive than Wal-Mart as Wal-Mart lately has been jacking up prices when they can.  Target also tends to ahev name brand applainces unlike Wal-Mart which will have "GE" home appliances (which is basically Wal-Mart buying the GE name to put on crap)

Target is the best store on earth, except when it comes to selling video games. I have always found better prices for them elsewhere.

Interesting tidbit about Target is that their forensics apparatus is so advanced that they are often consulted by local police departments.

Target is the store I go to when I need something cheap, typically clothes, but do not want to go to Wal Mart (because I hate Wal Mart). It's alright, I suppose.

The closest Zellers to me in New Glasgow is getting turned into a Target which I'm pretty excited about.

i want to go see this place, it seems weird to be there.

anyway, target is just like walmart. it's a super store with everything that you want there. go buy a video game, and then go buy some clothing. it's just a big store. i personally haven't gone there in a long time.

Target's cool. I remember going in to buy Fallout: New Vegas without a pre-order and they had one in stock. On top of that they gave me a $5 gift card for the purchase. Might pre-order Mass Effect 3 there today.

Target is a fine and clean supermarket. Your ordinary store, in short words.

Target is pretty good. I used to go there a lot before, but then they shut down the one near me, so now I would have to go to a Super Target in the next town over instead.

They are alright, I really dont buy much than house hold products such as detergent, toiletries, hygiene stuff, some electronics and media stuff every once and again. I stay out of the clothing department because it is kinda crummy, most appliances are crummy quality (mind you better than walmart, but if you do any kind of real cooking, all of these feel cheap and inadequate). Linens are such are cheap and unappealing. I dunno, I guess they are an average big box store.

Haha I remember that video during orientation...."Unions are bad because is not for people its a business". Almost blurted out so are you saying that you are bad also. But even so no company likes unions. Unions means more benefits for workers which means lower profit margins. You think the auto industry or the NFL love unions? Don't think so....there's a reason Roger Goodell sent private messages to players without consulting the Players Union first.

Yeah, it's like wallmart but a lot classier. Not like expensive classy, but you don't feel dirty as soon as you walk in. They usual have a good selection of stuff and cheap, too. I got MW2 and AC2 for 40 dollars each the November they came out, which was crazy.

Not true. Target's prices are lower than Wal-Mart's. Wal-Mart has been losing a lot of customers, so to make more money, they began to sell guns at all of their stores and have tons of sales.

http://money.cnn.com/2011/03/07/news/companies/walmart_target_better_price/index.htm

Umm Sorry but on SOME products Target have lower prices then Walmart but Walmart beats Target's prices on others. It even says in the article you posted. Health and beauty items are cheaper at target while groceries Walmart still beats Target's. Target is also losing customers thats the nature of a recession. Here's an article that even says that Target is losing customers due to their pricier image Link.
