Life without cable is both good and bad. Good in that I just watch the stuff I want, and bad in that once I have watched everything I want I have nothing left and I cant just flip channels cause i don't have any channels. Availability on netflix is a plus.

I feel like I have seen every good show there is but I know that isn't true. Please help me brain storm some new show ideas.

List of recent stuff I have seen. (will update if someone suggests something that I have already seen as well) :

  • Everything on HBOGO(my dad gave me his HBOGO Password, Ive pretty much exhausted all of its offerings.)
  • Breaking Bad
  • Wilfred US
  • Workaholics
  • Bobs Burgers
  • Community
  • The Office
  • Mad Men
  • Louie
  • Arrested Development
  • Psych
  • Twin Peaks(but I have not seen the whole series, I should revisit it.)
  • Firefly
  • Dr Horrible (more of a movie if you ask me but I loved it)
  • Full Metal Alchemist (Watched it back in the day on adult swim)
  • The IT Crowd
  • 30 Rock
  • The Twilight Zone(classic!)
  • Dexter(I'm watching it with my girlfriend)
  • X-Files (come on, I'm not a little kid I grew up on that show!)
  • BSG
  • Top Gear (one of my favorite shows of all time ever on the earth until I die!)
  • Misfits
  • The Simpsons (really that was a suggestion, Ive seen the golden seasons many times.)
  • Its always sunny in philidelphia
  • Hey Arnold (childhood classic)
  • Archer
  • Adventure TIme
  • Justified
  • Party Down
  • Frisky Dingo
  • Every Kind of Startrek
  • Weeds
  • American Horror Story

Shows I will look into based on y'alls suggestions:

  • Parks and Recreation
  • Sons of Anarchy
  • Dr Who
  • Trailer Park Boys
  • Sherlock
  • Pushing Daisies
  • The Guild
  • Skins UK
  • Luther
  • Jeckyl
  • Heroes
  • Fringe
  • Regular show
  • Seinfeld (I have an irrational hatred of this show which is probably unfounded. I guess I will check it out.)
  • Wilfred AUS (I stayed away cause it only has a few episodes but I suppose its worth a look since its the same actor plays wilfred)
  • Happy Endings
  • Better off Ted
  • The League
  • Freaks and Geeks

Community is pretty good. Also, The Office is an overall great series despite how bland season 8 was.

Louie and Arrested Development are excellent shows. Very funny.

I would also recommend Trailer Park Boys. It's one of my favorite shows of all time but you kinda need an appreciation of the mockumentary style of show to be able to really enjoy it.

Dexter!!!

Mad Men is pretty good too, but not super ACTION-PACKED!

The original British version of Skins (first two seasons) and the Inbetweeners are fun, and while you're there check out the IT Crowd as well.

Louie is hilarious in its own weird sad way.

I'll put forward Weeds, with the first 6 seasons being on Netflix

Here is a summary from that one site that giantbomb used to know:

"Following the life of Nancy Botwin, Weeds is an award-winning dark comedy. The plot centers around Botwin and her attempt to deal with the sudden death of her husband by supporting herself financially by selling marijuana. The series has showcases Botwin's progressively dangerous lifestyle and escalating crime."

edit*

also want to throw out "The Whitest Kids You Know", a great sketch comedy show available on Netflix

Watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It's long, but all on Netflix instant. The first season is not very good(only 12 episodes), but the rest is fantastic and it quickly became one of my favorite shows. The spinoff Angel is pretty good too, season 5 is incredible.

King of The Hill dude. Also if you watch that Freaks and Geeks show, maybe check out Undeclared afterwards too. They're both by Judd Apatow, and have some talent that ended up getting pretty big in recent years. Also Eastbound & Down has some great moments.

I don't see It's always sunny in Philadelphia on that list or Bored to death. Give them a try.

edit: never mind I see it now, and I assume Bored to death is on HBO Go. I don't know what to suggest now.....go play borderlands 2 when that comes out I guess?
