Slabwatch, 2017

A massive concrete slab threatens to fall in the San Francisco SoMa neighborhood near the CBS building where Giant Bomb is currently housed. If it falls and irreparably damages the Giant Bomb studios and offices, what would the future of Giant Bomb be? Obviously Giant Beast would be fine, physically, but would they keep going on, producing what they can, or will they put things on hold while everything gets repaired and restructured?

I'm glad that everyone is evacuated, but I'm worried for the future. The cost of damages would be enormous, and the loss of all that new equipment would be great. What would happen if everything is destroyed?

It's probably just going to fall into the street.

Nothing stops the Game Room Quick Look. Not toxic gas. Not a giant slab. Not the discontinuation of Game Room. Nothing.

I'm sure Rorie wouldn't mind too much, because that would also mean a ton of Apple's stuff would be destroyed.

That's the actual slab. Jeff was saying on Mixlr that they're flying someone in to try and fix it, but its over 2k lbs of slab and there's a decent chance it'll take a while to un-tilt it.

Fire department just confirmed that it's currently not a threat to people or buildings. Looks like things might be going back to normal pretty soon then.

Bummer to hear Jeff had a guest lined up for the studio tomorrow. I kind of doubt they'll be able to come in and have a regular office workday.

If the slab destroys the west coast office the answer is clear. EVERYONE GOES TO THE BEAST.

Jeff, Brad, Jason and Rorie all fly to New York and move in to Dan's house. Dan moves into a Taco Bell. They all cram into that tiny office and produce #content together. Jeff and Vinny do a This is the Run of Battletoads.

It would be like Smackdown and Raw merging rosters. If WWE can do it so can GB!

Slabwatch was one of my favorite games last year. Can't wait for SW 2k17.
