Had to wait for fucking ages, but I think it's worth the rewarding feeling you get afterwards. And the sticker.
Also the fact that I got a free bottle of Coke after receiving the same amount of change that I put in the machine has made me believe slightly more in karma.
The needle was pretty painful and I probably weirded people out by working out prime numbers aloud to pass the time (I got up to 28), but I think I'll do it again.
Also, free biscuits and whatnot and all the nurses were tremendously kind.
I strongly recommend doing it if you haven't, and well done you if you have

I'm not aware of how other countries' blood donation schemes function, though. I'll edit appropriate websites in if you post 'em, though.
So I gave blood today
" I don't run on blood. "I lol'd.
I gave blood a few months ago, I didn't feel any better or worse after it. Just doing whatever I can to help those that might need it.
This is the weirdest story on giving blood I have heard. The needle was painful? Pussy!!!!!!!!! No seriously, what the fuck, the needle dont hurt. Its just cold. The best part of giving blood was getting gatorade in a can, life changing. And you had to wait so long? i Give blood at a hospital all the time, dont have to wait for shit, just when i need to take a shit.

It's always been something that's crossed my mind & there are now a plethora of adverts both on the internet and tv for it, I still don't know if I like the idea of it though. Maybe I will, maybe I won't.
More people should really consider giving blood, there is always a shortage. Plus you get free stuff usually, if you need some sort of compensation for helping people out.

The last time I gave blood, the nurse took 3 tries to get my vein. It was unbelievably unpleasant to hear "Oops, sorry... Oh god I can't get this right today... Ugh, OK I think I've got it."
