South Korea seizes 17000 pills containing ground up babies... WHA

Yes this is actually real (POWDERED BABY FLESH?!?!?!??) and I can't for the life of me see what would possess people to actually be involved in any stage of this operation in any capacity.

They were supposedly seized by South Korean authorities after being trafficked in from north east China.

Am I the only person who thinks this is totally insane no matter what your culture is?! To actually think this would somehow 'increase stamina' (aphrodisiac?) or cure disease completely baffles me.

Has anyone ever heard of anything this crazy before?

This is why we are loosing Elephants, Rhinos, other endangered species Female Human babies etc. A lot of excellent culture and such comes out of Asia, but they (purposely in very general terms) have their flip side also. Someday the human race as a whole will get it together, or at least we won't be a problem to ourselves and others. One or the other, stories like this and I loose caring which.

I'm fairly certain in some cultures (not sure if it's true anymore) that the placenta was eaten by the mother after birth largely because it contains a great deal of nutrients and the mother was in need of them.

That being said, I guess we know where all the forced sterilization babies end up in China. Just doesn't happen to be where most of us expected them.

I think someone in China has been playing too much Skyrim. But surely you need Mudcrab Chitins and Vampire Dust to Cure Disease? And pretty much anything with restore stamina. Human Flesh is used for poisons if anything.
