Oh hello, I didn't see you there.
The Luchazine is looking to bring on a few more people for the next & future issues, and here's the breakdown of what we want:
1 general new writer & 1 Nintendo centric writer
1-3 new scouts
1-5 new designers/artists
If you wish to apply, send a PM to myself and indian_boy as soon as possible. Naturally, include which position you are interested in. Make sure you include a writing sample if you're wish to write and/or sample pieces/portfolio for the artist/designer position. Scouts simply need to explain how often they are on the site as all they will be doing is pointing out cool stuff on the boards.
Again, get your submissions in as soon as possible because these positions are only open for the next few days.

I would love to contribute to Luchazine! When it comes to game writing I typically focus on reviews, but I'm able to produce features as well.
" Damn it, I wish I could do it, but I don't think I'm up to it. "Your blogs are rather fantastic, why not?
Absolutely no idea what to write. Keep in mind that I don't hold ANYTHING back in my blogs; I blog about it all. I could write about games as I play them, but that would seem pretty egotistical. Plus it's bound to fuck up the reviewing process.
I really wanted to take part in this whole thing but I wouldn't (or don't, I don't know) know what to write about. Also, I feel the same way Video_Game_King does in that I don't know how much time/effort I would honestly be able to devote to it (especially with college starting up in a week and all...).
As much fun as I think it would be to be able to do something for the magazine, I'm not good at putting my thoughts into an organized manner that people would want to read. I tried once with my blog about the Blur beta, but I'm pretty sure I did a pretty bad job. Good luck finding people.
Haven't ever done an editorial, I think, and the closest I've come to a preview was my Wii repair blog.
@RecSpec:
Um, I do. Look.
" Topic should really read: We need someone with a Wii that actually plays it. Haha. "Hey, I play my Wii. It's just that I'm always broke and unable to buy new Wii games, which isn't helpful for reviews.
Oh and the OP needs more of this:
For the sake of record keeping I should disclose that I sent in a writer's application a few minutes ago.
" I just have one question, what is the luchazine? "Giant Bomb's one and only community magazine
I can't help but feel like it would be awesome to be apart of the Luchazine, at the same time I can't help but feel like I would have almost nothing to bring to it at the moment either. Maybe I'll just start trying to improve myself now for the future though. Regardless, I will say - keep up the good work guys and to those thinking about applying - go for it, you never know.
" @StarFoxA: The only problem is "of what?" Again, I hold back NOTHING in my blogs. "Whatever you think would be interesting to the community. All you'd have to do is keep in mind that you aren't writing a blog, and write in a structure that's more review-like.
Fair enough, at least I have direction now, if I ever plan to write for the Luchazine. Again, if.
* turns on music* Yes. I. Am.
I would apply but for two reasons:
- I can't be ordered to write something as I simply can't write anything good unless I get into a state of mind to do so- and that does not happen very often.
- Something about applying to do this just rubs me the wrong way. I know it's stupid, but the idea of applying just makes me feel like I'm trying to be an attention whore. If I write something and they ask if they can include it I have no problem with, but like I said, something about going to them just rubs me the wrong way and I don't know why I think that way.
