VLC or Windows Media player

WMP for music, VLC for video.

I watch a lot of HD MKV files, VLC is superior for HD content.

C. Media player classic. I find VLC does some weird thing with the video quality that I don't like. MPC does everything I need/want it to.

I use Media Player Classic for most things except music.

Both, depending on the situation.

I use MPC for videos, Winamp for music. But out of the options, VLC.

I mostly use WMP for both video and music, but when I need to play MKV's or other formats that's not supported I use VLC.

VLC plays everything so VLC.

I listen to music through foobar.

WMP + CCCP = Happy

VLC is fucking terrible. 
 
If it's for audio, use WMP, if it's for video, just download CCCP.

VLC works perfectly for me so I use it for almost everything.

VLC for 400% mother effing volume yo!

VLC for videos. iTunes for music.

I use both. Then I use Zune for music, 'cause it's way more RAD.

MPC. 

VLC doesn't work very well on my laptop for some reason, and WMP works fine so I don't really care.

MPC-HC for the rest of the videos (it's all about FFDshow)
 
Winamp for audio (it's all about Volume Logic)

It's more of a codec pack but it never fails to play videos unlike VLC. It actually gives you an option to use pretty much any player but I use the Windows Media Classic that comes with it.

But in my experience VLC is the best player for MKV files. Sure CCCP will allow them on other players, but the performance is nowhere near as smooth. At least since last time I tried CCCP. "

VLC is good for flash video, but thats's about it. Whenever possible i try to use the KMPlayer

Winamp for music, DivX Player for video.

VLC for everything.

VLC for video, iTunes for music (even though it's not great).

Media Player Classic
Windows Media Player
VLC

VLC and foobar2000

WMP. For some reason VLC likes to screw up the video for a brief second when I skip to another part of the video.

I used iTunes for music and MP4 video and VLC for everything else.

I use Klite Codec pack for most every thing. It contains Media player classic. though I use zune for my music.

Neither, Media Player Classic Home Cinema with CCCP codec pack.

Zune for music, VLC for video, and iTunes for the occasional syncing for my iPods and iPhone.
