I saw this when I watched Dark Knight. I recognized the character in the red coat, but I never followed the comic at all. The movie looks pretty good. What do you guys think about it?
I thought the trailer was kickass. I was intrested in this movie since I first heard of it. Now that I know its based on arguably the best graphic novel ever, Im totally hooked on this movie!
Been a few other topics on this, ive read the graphic novel and im excited for the movie, thats about all i can say.
Anybody expecting massive amounts of comic book style action will be disappointed, watchmen isn't like that, its about rich characters with depth dealing with moral issues in a world that is about to meet nuclear apocalypse.
Dont be expecting X-Men, Spiderman or Batman, because its nothing like that.

Yea, thats the reason I like it. Watchmen has a whole different outlook on "super-heroes" I should Amazon a copy of that Graphic Novel...
while i was in NY, my brother and myself took the niece and nephew to see batman and i was overjoyed when i saw this trailer. my brother isn't much of a comic book fan so he had no idea why i was so hyped. i ordered him a copy of the GN and told him to check it out when it arrives.
more comics need to be created that explore the non-heroic side of super heroes.
I'm listening to the mp3 version of the song in the trailer on loop. I love it. The trailer looked alright, I'm interested in reading the graphic novel.
No way the movie will be near as good as the graphic novel, i think there are just to many levels in the graphic novel for them to pull if off as well as it was written. The trailer however gives me hope that the movie can be good, and will be a solid adaption of the book, which is all i can ask for.
I'm not familiar with the comic, so the entire time in the theater I was thinking "what the hell is going on?" There appeared to be some sweet special effects, but I doubt I'll see it in theaters unless I hear really good things about it.
I've never heard of it until now. What really interests me is Dr.Manhattan and his powers, people are saying that you should read the comic because it's good. I also like the quote "the world will look up and shout save us.........and I'll whisper no."
i've never really read the graphic novel, even though i've heard so much about it. supposedly its like amazing and one of the best ever. i saw some move screenshots compared with images from the comic, and its pretty impressive. zack snyder did a terrific job with 300, and it looks like he is ready to outdo himself with Watchmen. that trailer looked awesome, a lot of people in the theatre when we saw it were, damn that looked good yo what it is it??

David Hayter was doing a modern day "War on Terror" version that died two years ago. I'm not entirely sure he's still involved in this version. "
nah, he is on record many times recently with all of the mgs4 interviews, that he co-wrote the watchmen film, and he is getting ready to direct something as well. his original script may have been scrapped, but he still worked on the one they eventually used and he will be getting writing creds for this.
Looks good, but it's too early to tell if it will match the greatness of the comic book. The Watchmen was one of the most intellectually pleasing novels I have ever read.
Let me quote myself from earlier: "Watchmen isn't simply the greatest comic book ever written, it's the greatest story put on to paper. Maybe even the greatest piece of fiction ever, including any medium.".
