My most listened albums of the new year are Daisy by Brand New, Frengers by Mew, Hymn to the Immortal Wind by Mono, Yanqui U.X.O by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and of course Beggars by Thrice.

i recently got into the Mountain Goats... amazing band with amazing words. All thanks to Moral Orel! I've also established the Pixies as one of my favorite bands (I just memorized the lyrics to Isla de Encanta... Me voy x3, baby), and I've been listening to Pyramid, which made the score for Observe&Report and Foot Fist Way. They have one album on iTunes which intertwines indie rock, progressive rock, strings (violins and cellos), and haunting piano serenades. It's pretty beautiful stuff... warning, there are like 3 bands named Pyramid on iTunes, so get the one with the album title  "The First American"... the other ones are a Jazz band and something else :P

Final Fantasy X soundtrack FTW!!!

Thanks to the Sony "Move" trailer, I picked up Owl City's Fireflies.  And, I've still got Mikuni Shimokawa's Tomorrow in strong rotation on my Ipod from watching Full Metal Panic recently.  Finally, I've been enjoying Go Betty Go, a (formerly) all girl soft-punk band who had a hit on the Burnout 3: Takedown soundtrack.

Been listening to hella Gorillaz. Plastic Beach is a really good album.  I've also been filling my time between Gorillaz plays with some Alkaline Trio. I cannot describe how awesome ALK3 is, if you've never heard them before, I suggest you listen here (Old stuff is better than new stuff, as far as ALK3 goes):

Found out about Infected Mushrooms, I live them, especially these albums.
