I don't believe there's such a thing as a gender specific car.
I get a good laugh out of the people in here saying that they'd refuse to drive a $40,000 - $50,000 sports car.

Yeah seriously I have a pretty shitty car that has been mentioned in here a few times that I got for free actually and I still drive it.
You know why? Because it was free and faster then walking and better then a bus.
I'm going to guess most of these people are just lying.
Smart Car. I'm not vain. If a car is safe and free, I would drive it. Cars like the Smart Car just seem dangerous, especially since I live near LA with all the crazy drivers.
Haha, my girlfriend's mom has one of those Audis. It's a sexy looking car but I never quite got it... personally, I'd never drive a car that doesn't have great mileage and safety ratings, so... most cars, I guess. I'm just too practically-minded about all of that stuff to care if people think the Prius or whatever I end up driving is cool (for the record I have no car now but I'll be in the market soon.) Not wasting money on gas or dying in an accident is cooler than your lousy MPG sports car or pickup.

Yep, the Beetle is one of my favorite cars and the cabrio version looks brilliant.
Well I'm not one to try to tell you what to drive.
Drive whatever you want! Just try not to get bothered by the people that give you weird looks.
You forgot about teenage/early 20s women who want to be "sporty". I've nearly been hit by like 5 of those walking home from uni by ditzy girls that don't know how to drive. I know of 3 people that have them, all are women. I view the Wrangler the same as I view the New Beetle. Though the newest Beetle (2012-2013) isn't as bad as the New Beetle because it isn't quite as girly. Still girly, but not as girly. It's well known that Jeep Wranglers are exclusively driven by homosexuals (at least since the guy in Queer as Folk had one), and I would therefore have to politely refuse your offer of a free Jeep Wrangler.

The Toyota MR2 Spyder is unfairly labeled as a girl's car, despite being similar in power to weight as the beloved original MR2. I'd buy one now if I wasn't set on something bigger and better.
Plus, put a hardtop on an MR-2 and you've got a decent lookin car that is about 2000 lbs and beats buying a Kia for its gas mileage.

I was going to say "No car, would I turn down, were it free"
I would turn this car down.
Yeah, this right here. I'll buy one of these for anyone who says "I would never turn down a free car" with the condition that they pay me back if they can no longer stand it.
I'd cut my losses in a week, tops.

A free car is a free car. Don't care what it is as long as it runs.
True, but reliability and functionality would be a concern for me. So, for instance, if I were to receive a Smart car for free, I would sell it and buy something different with the proceeds. Smart car is no good for me because it has nil cargo space and I wouldn't trust something like that in winter even if I put studded snow tires on.
My top choice for no thank you vehicle is any flavour of pickup truck. I hate the way those things look. Pain in the ass to park as well if it's a mid sized or larger model.
If I were given a car for free, my first decision would be which car (my current or the new one) to sell.
As long as it works, has four wheels (and tires) and protects from the elements while moving, I'm good...

I've been in a Smart Car making an unprotected left in downtown, which is always terrifying in LA, even in a truck.
i know its not the question but if i got it for free i would take any car and sell it again.
but to answer the question correctly
most alpha Romero's i really love alot of the cars they make but they break down so fast and will be insane to maintain.
toyota iq
allmost all kia's
most russian cars.
and jensen interceptor, the original since they just stole parts form other cars so no car handled the same some was terrible some was okay

Comby van, the things are fucking lethal.
I was in Mexico visiting, was with my family, dad was driving his big Suburban and we have a comby van full of people pulling away from us. At a curve on the highway, we just see dust rising up as we go by, we see the comby van just flipped on its side and people all bloodied up trying to pull themeselves out. Lesson, only drive Comby vans if you are a man.
I drive a 2008 Mustang GT. It burns gas like crazy but my commute is only 6 miles so I can't complain. It has power when I want it. Though I am gonna be looking for a new car in a couple of years. Make the transition to real adulthood. Probably a BMW 5 Series, hopefully with the 4 cylinder turbos
A Hummer. I've never met a Hummer owner that wasn't a complete asshole. And I don't want any part of that.

I just laughed for 13 minutes straight. I love Top Gear.
Same here. I was going to say I'd take any free car, but then I saw this. It's actually worse than walking!
Oh man. Its 2:30 am I shouldn't have watched that. I think I just woke everyone up laughing.
