What do you love to learn about the most???
We all have that one passion (maybe hidden passion) when it comes to learning. What subject caught your eye the most and you still learn it even though you are outside of school.
Mine is history. I started to love History around 8th grade when my teacher showed us graphic videos of the Aztec Empire and since then I've been reading anything to do with History. My favorite is probably Roman History.
"History (I'm particular to the Early Modern Period) and philosophy. "
Cool. Why early modern? I am personally into more anicent and modern history. So, basically before and after the middle ages.
Martial Arts. I mean, the all-encompassing study of martial arts, from its philosophical roots, to the physical training, the rich and diverse history of various fighting arts around the world, watching fighters as a spectator, competing as a opponent, and about the fighters themselves. I have a few passions, and martial arts is one.
I love anything involving math. Correlation of numbers, fractals, differential equations...all that is music to my ears. Also knowing something that pertains to actual real world implications is nice.
Though, it's kind of funny to say that from grades 4-9 I absolutely hated math. One year with a teacher who put it into perspective has changed my life's goals entirely.
Anything that is interesting. I know that's a terrible answer but I love learning about so many things, whether it's philosophy, psychology, literature, culture, art, Mexico, whatever!
I turned 30 last year and decided to go back to school for electrical engineering with an emphasis on Biomedical engineering. It's something I always found interesting, and my employer is reimbursing a few thousand a year for tuition, so why not.
Personally, I love learning about history in particular. I think what really interested me in history was World War II, and the fact that there was so much said about it in common culture, that i simply wanted to know more about, well, everything. My preferred angle in History is Military History, such as wars, tanks, and the like. However, I like all forms of history. Just military in particular. Which is somewhat unusual considering the fact I try and avoid fighting.
Military history and modern military. It's all good from Roman gladiuses to F/A 22s. I mostly watch the educational channels (History, Military, etc.) and have read a number of books on the Iraq/Afghanistan wars.
The American Revolution and the surrounding events. But just about anything involving history is interesting to me. I particularly love seeing/reading about early inventions and how they changed the course of human development. TV shows like Connections, The Day the Universe Changed and What the Tudors Did for Us are fascinating to me. I used to love The History Channel, but they've strayed from history for psudo-science and reality crap like MonsterQuest, UFO Hunters and Pawn Stars.
Martial arts, i'm taking krav maga. I like only the martial arts that are no nonsense like krav maga, boxing, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, MMA stuff like that. I dislike traditional martial arts. I wouldn't mind taking MMA after I finish with krav maga, I would like to improve my submission and takedown skills.
Like a lot here, History is fascinating to me, how it effectively repeats itself eventually, how we should always learn from it, and how those actions can be integrated into personal situations.
But also engineering, how those big factory machines are built, designed etc... which is probably why I love the TV show 'How It's Made' so much.
Economics and English. I'd like to start learning a language this year too as I've suddenly become interested in that.
American History and Military History. I also get consumed with music. I love learning about the great musicians and their inspirations.

I had kind of bad middle school math teachers, which made me hate the subject, but once I got to late high school/college, I couldn't get enough math. Even became a math teacher.
Philosophy, literature, film, video games, history. I wish I could add languages to this list, but it's more of an obligation/chore than something I enjoy, at least at this stage.

Yep. Same here. Im more towards military history but some non military history is also very interesting.
" @Hourai said:It's interesting to learn about people going from castles and swords to guns and early technology, ending with the Industrial Revolution. The 18th century is my favourite because of muskets and colonization."History (I'm particular to the Early Modern Period) and philosophy. "Cool. Why early modern? Computers and military technology. From video cards to sniper rifles. From processors to stealth bombers. I love it all.
I also enjoy history of all types although I prefer anything military(from any country and time) or American related.
