What is your favorite Mario soundtrack?

Super Mario Bros. I would say "naturally" but apparently not.

I used to have a copy of Mario & Zelda Big Band Live. I must have listened to the show a dozen times, I love Big Band, and Nintendo... it was awesome.

I like Dire Dire Docks.

They're all fucking repetitive and annoying. I only play Mario games with mute on.

Mario 64. As already mentioned, the music from Dire, Dire Docks is basically a masterpiece and the music from Bob-Omb Battlefield, called the Mario 64 Main Theme on the CD never fails to put a smile on my face. The music on Galaxy and the sequel sound a bit too samey for my liking though I do like the orchestrated version of the Mario 64 Main Theme that plays on the Throwback Galaxy.

I don't really have a favorite soundtrack, but the underwater music from 64 is godly.

Much of Mario's music is purely catchy and simple.  Super Mario Galaxy had the all-around best, given its orchestral treatment and Mahito Yokota's refreshing take on Koji Kondo's work.  Galaxy 2's seems much less effortless and far more blaring.

Mario Galaxy's soundtrack not only shits over all of the Mario games', but over nearly every game soundtrack ever composed.

Most of my nostalgia lies with SMB3 and SMW. So those. Never played Galaxy... my Wii and I don't have a very good relationship. Might Dolphinize it.
 
That damn whistle tune in Deadly Premonition made me think of that one early song in Super Mario World every single time I heard it.
