I don't want to see any novels directly put to video games, but I'd like to see a kind of inspiration of these.(Think BioShock to Atlus Shrugged)
-Player Piano
-Brave New World
-The Road
So basically any novel about a dystopian future. lol

Wheel of Time. If you've read the series you know it lends itself perfectly to a video game. In fact it basically is a video game in book form.

@Mordukai: I have a feeling The Mist would look a lot like Silent Hill.

I would have to say Creepers. It'd be a shooter/mystery game.

How about a version of Dante's Inferno (or any other part of The Divine Comedy) that actually pays attention to the source material instead of tearing it apart for the sake of making a game that doesn't fit the style, tone, or genre of the source material?

I would say that watchmen would be cool (I know about the crappy beat em up)
Walking Dead Series could be cool as a game.

The New Industrial State by Galbraith ... that would be an edge-of-your-seat thriller from start to finish.

The Sum of All Fears, oh wait, OH GOD NO!!!!!!!!

I hate Sum of All Fears. For real, a book I would like to see be turned into a game would have to be Holes, it would be a stealth game.

None, because good novels can't be condensed into games. Although I did enjoy how Bioshock used some elements from the novel Atlas.

A Song of Ice and Fire. That world is perfectly set up for a BioWare style RPG.

The Dark Tower Series
Basically a wild western style game set in a post-apocalyptic world with a little bit of magic and two world gameplay (sort of like Link to the Past).

I'd like to see Isaac Asimov's Foundation series as a game. It would be an RPG in the vein of KOTOR with a bunch of different campaigns and characters.

Also, Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco would probably make a fun action/puzzle game.

@Everyones_A_Critic: That is a mini game collection aimed at kids. I'm talking about a full on God of War type game that goes through the entire Bible. That would be great.

Foundation game ftw!

also, seeing some of Tom Clancy's books properly made into games would be cool, Executive Orders would work (even though they'd have to make Debt of Honor into a game too...).

I think we should infer he means a new or good game.

The Wheel Of Time universe would lend itself extremely well to game form. I'm not so sure the story contained in the books would work perfectly, however a game set during the events of the books could be brilliant. Altho allot of elements in the Elder Scrolls series games do seem inspired by Robert Jordan's works.

The world is richer than Warcraft and would lend itself well to an WOW or Oblivion style game.

i believe we'll get a good taste of George R.R. Martins Song of Ice and Fire when we finaly get our hands on Dragon Age.  can't wait for that game (or the next novel. come on man...do some writing and lessfootball watching already)
any game were Drizzt is the main character could probably be good.  it would need to be a good slasher/beat 'em up though.  an RPG just wouldn't do the sword fighting Drizzt justice.
the Dark tower could be cool too.  but don't follow the books just give me Roland by himself.  not sure if i wanna play as a legless/pregnant woman or a billy bumber (sp?)
one more thing.  to those who are saying The Road would make a good game i ask,  have you even read it?  i can hardly see how that story could be made into an enjoyable game.  heck after seeing more of the previews for the movie i'm starting to lose intrest.  looks like they are trying to make it to action-y.  i dunno, we'll see.

and to add to the discussion...how about a game based on the life/story of Mushashi?  something along the lines of the PS2 game Way of the Samurai. (think that was the name of it.)
or maybe some new kick ass Lone Wolf and Cub

@Manatassi: I was actually being ironic with the whole "freedom of speech" rubbish, there are limits to all things. And most probably Lolita and Mein Kampf would and should be banned, Communist Manifesto probably not, unless you find Marx's theory of labour insulting in which case, you capitalist filthy pig, I hope swine flu kills you, how ironic that would be you fat bourgeoise piggy.
