District 9 is another CGI-filled blockbuster made for the little dumb 14 year old inside you. It boggles the mind that people get suckered into these derivative junk "films".
I don't think District 9 is as bad as Transformers though, because that one signaled the horrific end of creativity and intelligence and left no hope for mankind.
Don't insult Peter Jackson by the way, he's got nothing to do with it, it's just that he's name's been slapped on this D9 as a producer in order to make people go see it.

The movie theaters here are so junky I've only been to a theater like 3 or 4 times in my life, and it's just this shabby building with a parking lot where you expect to get mugged. So no I will not go see this movie, I'll have to wait for it on dvd.
