Would you try dog soup?
Is this soup made with dog meat or a slosh of all the bodily fluids a particularly sick dog emptied into a bowl? That makes all the difference in the world.
No.
Not out of love for dogs. I do not like pets of any sort. But because it's not one of those things that I've accepted eating. I don't exactly know how to put it, but I've grown up knowing that cows, pigs, and chickens get put on my plate all the time, and that's fine with me, but stuff that I don't normally think of as food isn't. I just wouldn't want to eat it.
Depends if it was free range.
Also, they've forgot to put 'Premium' next to the live chat thing at the top of the page. Just sayin'.

Probably not in the US.
Because eating dog meat would only feel weird for you depending on what side of the border you'd be standing on?
sure. i wouldn't have a problem with it. meat is meat as far as i'm concerned. unless it lives in the water. then it is inedible.
I might. It kinda depends.
I'll say yes now but I'm not sure I could get myself to try it if it was presented to me.
Food's food. I find the notion that people will eat cows, pigs, and chickens, but not other animals fairly ridiculous. I have no problems with the fact that we as a society don't regularly consume certain animals, but those who are totally against eating one animal but consume another seems kind of odd to me. A life is a life, and you eating any kind of meat means something died so you can live another day, whether it be a cow, a dog, a sheep, or a cat.

@UitDeToekomst: can't do fish? I love fish.
no fish, no shrimp, no crab, no lobster, etc. any land animal would not be a problem for me, though. amphibians are a grey area that i would take on a case-by-case basis.
Most likely not. I have grips about eating strange foods, and would probably avoid it. However a small amount of brother and a tiny piece of the meat; would be my tasting. As they discussed with Steaks; i'd rather have a nice cut than a lot of a bad cut. I like my meat not very fatty and get easily turned off by odd food textures in my mouth.
Sure. I love dogs, but other cultures eat them, and other cultures don't eat a lot of the things we eat, like cows, or pigs, or whatever. I'm not sure that eating dog is fundamentally more heinous than eating other sentient animals, although I do think there is a line somewhere. For instance, if you'd eat dog, would you eat chimp, or elephant, or dolphin, all of which are considerably more intelligent and more endangered? I don't think I would go that far with it.
Yes. Sure, we've been conditioned by western culture to think of specific animals as food but just think... in other cultures those animals are forbidden to be eaten. Also take into mind dogs are raised with food in mind where as in the west dogs are raised as pets. Its no different than beef when you really think about it.

For all the people saying 'an animal is an animal', humans are animals.
Are you saying that eating other humans is fine?
Oh come on now, don't be an idiot.

I know (hopefully) everyone here will say that eating humans is WRONG, but with reasoning like this for dogs, how do you reason out of eating humans?
Well, Drew said it kinda tastes like beef. So, if it ever came up, sure? I'm not going to be rude if I'm in a foreign country and they offer it to me.
No, I can't see eating something which is also a household pet. It's just short of cannibalism in my mind.
Yes, i would. If it's meat, i will give it a try.
