De-loused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta. That album is appropriate for whatever type of mood I'm in.

But my first is Pink Floyd - The Wall

My friends and I would always listen to Relationship of Command while playing Halo. That was our official video game soundtrack.@IBurningStar said:

relationship of command is such an incredible album. also: +1 indie rep for listening to atdi in 2001.
Most of you people have no taste in music, although if I hadn't known that from the previous 10 "favorite album" threads I could've guessed it anyways.

I would say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Who am I to say that your taste in music is inferior because I don't approve of it?
In any case, here are my choices of the top of my head.
For Metal -
Iron Maiden - Brave New World
Choosing 2000's Maiden over 1980's Maiden. Blasphemy? Individually, I like songs like Hallowed and Fear of the Dark WAY more than any song on Brave New World, but as a collective album, Brave New World is definitely my favorite, with A Matter of Life and Death at a close second.
For Hip Hop/Rap -
Kanye West - Graduation
Not much to be said. I guess this was before Kanye became the Kanye we all know and love today. I also actually really like 808's and Heartbreak, which most people aren't really that into.
Really hard for me, but I guess I'll have to go with Daft Punk's Discovery. I don't think there's any album I've listened to more than that one.
